I've been meaning to ask you this, but how did you chose the weapons for both teams? Was it random or did you pick it from personal experience? I wanted to know since I have a hard time choosing for the green and turquoise teams, I'm doing.
Orange and Blue’s weapons were chosen based on the amiibo inklings since they’re kinda how the characters were born in the first place.
As for the others, they were chosen based on their personality and making sure there was diversity.
Angelo uses custom splattershot jr because it comes with the disruptor and echolator. Both perfect for his play style where he seeks others, makes them helpless with the distruptor and splats them. This is also why he has ninja squid, bomb range and ink resistance. He is a soldier.
Tanrine has the inkbrush because inkbrushes are fast and fit perfectly her active personality. I can’t see her using a slow blaster or a roller. She also loves painting things (like hearts) on the battlefield.
Taloupe. There was no other reason except the splash-o-matic looks darn cool and it has the bomb rush ability which was perfect for those cases when he panics.
Marian. She got her weapon last and she had 52. gal deco first before I switched it to slosher. I wanted at least one of the new weapon types in and bucket is damn funny and deadly.
Logan is lazy and doesn’t like moving around so a charger was a natural choice for him. E-litre for that extra length and deadliness. Plus I like its design
And Vadelma, I didn’t have any other blasters and a thought of having a cute girl with a deadly explosive blaster was amusing. I chose the luna blaster because while deadly it’s also cute (and way easier to draw than the other blasters XD)
