"On Your Marx" is a 2-week festival of art and ideas in celebration of Karl Marx's 200th birthday, from Oct 17-28 at NYU. This festival isn't Marx 101; instead, artists and scholars put Marxist theories and ideas to work in 21st century contexts!

Yesterday my coworkers and I had the honor of watching our friend/colleague Helio, with hundreds of others preform collectively as the NYC Gay Men's Chorus. The Coro Gay Cuidad de Mexico were special guests, and collectively sang a tale of both how New York is a grand catalyst of experience -- from love, to loss, and everything in between and how as a collective community, we can and shall overcome any barriers set upon us as one of the most electrifying and diverse cities in the world. Congrats to the Chorus for such an amazing job, and to our colleague Helio for his amazing solo.
