So there's quite a bit I'm on the fence about it/still need to decide about it. I'll gladly appreciate any feedback about this! Especially the parts that I'm unsure of. That being said, in order for me to arrange all the characters appropriately, I'll have to drive a bit into spoiler territory so!
Below will have spoilers in Delicious in Dungeon. I don't think too majorly, but I'm still tagging just in case.
Starting off, I'm not sure for the Chimera DCA. I don't want to exactly follow Delicious in Dungeon to the T, but I would still like to follow the major plot points. One of them being the Chimera Falin, or in this case, Chimera DCA. What I'm not sure is who going to be the Chimera. Should it be Sun? Should it be Moon? Should it be both? And if both, should they be separate Chimeras, or should they be one making Eclipse? Of course all of them will have consequences and influence the plot in their own unique ways. I think I'll do a little poll for this one.
Then of course I have to decide the initial party. Who's in it, their races, their roles, and who leaves and stays. I'm planning on this being a reader insert, so I'll have to decide whether they'll be in this initial party or joining after it's been divided and their own role and race. (Their race will most likely be tall man, but I'll review the races in DiD and choose what I think best)
Definitely for sure the demon of the dungeon is William Afton/Purple Guy/Glitchtrap. The dungeon master could be Vanessa, but I'm still leaving that one up in the air.
And the chimera itself. I think depending on who ends up being the chimera, the parts will be different. The main one will definitely be a dragon don't get me wrong, but the type of dragon and anything else will most likely be different because why not? Why not choose a different dragon and different monsters? A red dragon and harpy mix is cool and all, but the DM has a whole dungeon to choose from. Why not use different creatures? Especially on the two separate chimeras or the combined one.
That's mostly what I got so far. It's mostly vague ideas, especially since I want to bounce these ideas of at least someone. Now I have to figure out how to do polls so wish me luck
Well, if I am going to go crazy for other people's DCA AU's (including the TSBS AU's), I might as well talk about my own.
I'm still in the process of writing Chapter 1. Motivation to write has dropped, but I still think about it. However, I'll still talk about it.
I've recently realized after writing the rough draft of Chapter 1 that my protagonist, the Y/N or reader insert, was like one of those horror game protagonists with an imaginary creature/monster that represents their true self, so I decided to lean in on it. However, I now realize that maybe I should use it in a more subtle way. Yes, it would be there all the time, but it doesn't need to be mentioned every paragraph or in every little interaction. Just in small moments to reveal how they truly feel in a situation or appear in a big decision that would decide their outcome.
I also thought of having one called Exhaustion and Hope too, but I think I'll do away with Exhaustion as an entity and more like a weight, and Hope will be a flame. Those two will be mentioned far less often than Desperation, the name of their monster, and most likely only be the most prevalent in the beginning. Which honestly I think I'm going to rename too. Perhaps something silly since they made this imaginary friend/monster as a kid, and you know how kids will name things.
Oh yeah. Eclipse. I should probably describe his appearance in detail, but the stick notes with his appearance written down is somewhere and I don't feel like looking for it.
....i think my laptop is homophobic because whenever i like something that involves pride, whether it has the like animation or not, it just snipes the post into the void??? like i literally watch the post just full on disappear when i like it
also thanks to some coworkers i am back on making rubber band bracelets and procrastinating on every other project still
Procrastination is a skill that I am unfortunately way too good at
I should be writing. I should be making progress on the dryad doll I want to make for a coworker. I have other projects that I can't think of at this very moment, and you want to know what I'm doing instead?
Making several iterations of a trans rubber band bracelet for one (1) coworker, and want to know something funny? It's the same coworker that i want to give the dryad doll that I am currently procrastinating on!!
