1. Michaela
Michaela was by far my favorite this week! She looks so luxurious and fashionable, like a legitimate Hollywood starlet. She had some of my favorite styling, and her pose comes across so natural and effortless. Her face is so angelic and I love the almost melancholy mood she brought with her expression. Michaela kicked off her journey with a terrific shot!
This is technically a casting week photoshoot but I decided to rank it anyway because I felt like it haha
2. Lauren
Lauren’s photo is very pin-up-ish in a good way, I think it really fits the vintage theme! She looks tall while squatting and modeled down to her fingertips (as evidenced by the perfectly placed hand at her cheek and the other one delicately propping her up). Her cheeky glance to the side shows a lot of personality and she looks stellar in the hair and makeup. It’s one of few shots that are memorable to me from this first photoshoot!
3. Eva
Eva looks like she’s really feeling the glamor, darling! The burlesque vibe is on point and I love the way she tossed back her head and wrapped the boa around her to accentuate the angles of her pose. Her eyes could be more open, but she still looks extremely confident, sultry, and seductive. Eva impressed me!
4. Dakota
Dakota’s legs are just phenomenal here, they go on forever! The reclined pose is excellent in general, but I wish she had been more aware of the outfit since it’s looking sort of bunched up. Her face is gorgeous as well, the angle is perfect for her features and I actually like her harsh expression (even if it’s not fully fitting for the brief). Dakota definitely had a good debut.
5. Aafreen
Aafreen’s face is fabulous in this shot. Her eyes are really commanding, and while I’m not a fan of how her teeth are showing it doesn’t distract from her beauty at all. Her pose is solid for the most part (I really like the dainty hand on her knee) but that one foot hooked behind her leg is awkward. Aafreen was one of my favorites in the first episode so I’m happy she did well.
6. Danielle
Danielle has one of the better fashion shots in the bunch. Her pose effectively sells the dress and the gloves, and I like how she pushed back her hair with the raised hand. Her face is lovely and she found her light, but I think she could’ve brought her eye line down a bit. It’s a good but slightly basic and forgettable picture from Danielle.
7. Elza
Elza is the opposite of her twin Nellie in that I love her pose but her face is a bit of a let down. The dress looks amazing on her and I like how she draped an arm over the couch and twisted her body to the side. On the other hand her face is very blank and too hesitant, which lessens the impact of her pose. It’s an alright start for Elza.
8. Nellie
The styling they gave Nellie is atrocious and she didn’t exactly pose the best either. Her arm is so stiff and she made herself appear very short. Thankfully her face is quite strong. I love her fierce eye contact and how her slightly parted lips make it look like she’s growling. If Nellie had a better pose I’d bump this up a few spots.
