Favorite Photo: Tribal Mudpool Shot
Least Favorite Photo: Bird Shot
Aafreen was one of my early favorites since I thought that she had one of the most interesting looks in the cast. She was typically strong with her posing, but a bit inconsistent with her face in photos. Still, despite some flaws, her first three shots were solid and based on her potential I hoped she’d go far. Her elimination seemed random and unfair; while her final Bird shot was a disappointment, it wasn’t the worst and her previous work should have gotten her a reprieve. Aafreen deserved much better.
10. Aafreen
Aafreen struggled this week. She seems really stiff and uncomfortable, and she failed to effectively model any of the jewelry. I think her face photographed well, but one of her eyes is noticeably weaker than the other causing her to look really unfocused. Even though Aafreen had one of the worst pictures her elimination didn’t sit right with me: her previous photos have been solid, I thought she had tons of potential, and there were several much weaker contestants still in the mix.
7. Aafreen
I love the quirkiness of Aafreen’s picture. Her hunched-over posture and the bizarre placement of her arms is really unexpected in a good way. I like how she tilted her head, but this isn’t her best face shot: her eyes didn’t engage the camera well enough and there’s something off about the way she caught the light. Aafreen’s shot is far from the best but at least it’s interesting!
6. Aafreen
I love the control in Aafreen’s pose. Her legs are positioned perfectly, and while the arm behind her head got a bit lost at least it’s framing her face in a neat way. Speaking of her face, as beautiful as she is I think her attempt at being ethereal looks more drowsy than anything in the close-up. It’s an cool shot of Aafreen, but the flaws hold it back from being great.
5. Aafreen
Aafreen’s face is fabulous in this shot. Her eyes are really commanding, and while I’m not a fan of how her teeth are showing it doesn’t distract from her beauty at all. Her pose is solid for the most part (I really like the dainty hand on her knee) but that one foot hooked behind her leg is awkward. Aafreen was one of my favorites in the first episode so I’m happy she did well.
