1. Eva

Ultimately I agreed with the panel’s choice for the top spot, Eva looks sensational in this photo! I adore her slightly mischievous expression and the connection she has with the camera, and she appears totally at ease in the harness. She created a ton of interesting angles with her limbs and showcased the gown very well. Eva established herself as one of the contestants to beat with this picture!

2. Danielle

The top 2 are basically tied for me and were far above the rest of the pack. This shoot didn’t really seem like Danielle’s forte but she slayed! She looks so badass leaning back like that and her broken down body language contrasts with the set/styling in a cool way. Her eyes are super intense even in the wide shot and her face is magnificent straight on. Danielle’s breakdown on set was concerning, but she still pulled off a stellar shot and truly showed how much raw talent she had.

3. Michaela

Michaela hit the ethereal part of the brief on the head. Her pose is very fluid and understated, and she was able to let the dress shine too. Her face is so stunning as well, though I wish she had gone for something different since she had a similar somber expression last week. All in all Michaela was one of the better contestants this week.

4. Courtenay

Courtenay’s shot is simple, but that simplicity is definitely effective. The bent leg could’ve been executed better, but the overall line of her body is excellent and I like how she worked the ropes like she was on a swing. She also has one of my favorite faces of the week, her profile is stunning and she has a great relaxed confidence about her. It’s a nice effort from Courtenay.

5. Nellie

The dress looks amazing billowing around Nellie, the flow-y fabric helps to bring motion to the shot. While I think she could’ve done more with the dangling arm, I do really like how she’s delicately handling the rope with her other hand. Her gentle gaze into the camera works nicely as well. Nellie turned in a solid performance.

6. Aafreen

I love the control in Aafreen’s pose. Her legs are positioned perfectly, and while the arm behind her head got a bit lost at least it’s framing her face in a neat way. Speaking of her face, as beautiful as she is I think her attempt at being ethereal looks more drowsy than anything in the close-up. It’s an cool shot of Aafreen, but the flaws hold it back from being great.

7. Elza

Elza’s picture is a mixed bag for me. Normally I would hate how she hiked up her dress but it somehow works, and I love the way she’s daintily tip-toeing across the frame. However, her face doesn’t do it for me, she looks slack-jawed and there’s nothing going on behind her eyes. Elza has shown she can pose, but has yet to be successful with her face.

8. Lara

Lara’s photo makes a good first impression since her pose is so dynamic, but it gets a bit less impressive the longer I look. The dress is overwhelming her lower half and something about how she slanted her shoulders towards the camera is off and makes her arm disproportionately long. Lara’s face is a bit deer-caught-in-headlights, but she has enough dreaminess to make it work.
