1. Nellie

Nellie has been quietly improving week to week but she burst through to the top of the pack with this performance! This picture is so transformative, she looks completely different from any of her previous shots. Her bone structure is insane, and I adore her powerfully piercing stare and the way she subtly parted her lips; it’s like she’s about to command her bird companion to attack. The pose is strong as well, and she did an excellent job of showing off the jewelry. Nellie blew away her competitors and delivered one of my favorite shots of the cycle!

2. Danielle

Danielle kept her foot on the gas pedal and gave us another stellar photograph! The classic over-the-shoulder pose works brilliantly and her hand placement instantly sells the jewelry. Her face is simply perfection; I love her stunning freckles and strong cheekbones, and her harsh glare is super powerful but also has an element of vulnerability behind it. I can see how Danielle was called first at panel since this was a sensational shot from her, I just preferred one other picture a little bit more.

3. Elza

The top 3  were significantly better than the rest of the pack. This is my favorite photo of Elza so far! I love her connection with the bird, she went full animal-whisperer in the best way. Her soft ethereal expression is gorgeous, as is the angle of her face. As amazing as she looks my eyes do go to the jewelry first, which means she successfully did her job as a model. My only complaint is that having her legs in the frame like that is making her seem slightly cramped, but that’s not really a big issue. Elza had a bit of a breakdown prior to shoot, and I’m impressed that she powered through it and came up with an outstanding shot!

4. Courtenay

I initially didn’t like Courtenay’s photo much at all but I appreciate it more and more the longer I review it. Her distinctive face is fabulous here, I love her jawline and her demure stare. The delicacy of her hand by her face is great but the hand with the bird is a bit awkward, and there’s something off about the angle of her head in relation to her body. Even with those flaws I still think Courtenay did good job overall.

5. Eva

Eva has one of the stronger poses in the bunch. She looks so at ease and I like how her pose brings attention to the rings, the bird, and her face all at once. Speaking of her face, the seductive pout is great, though for the second time in a row I feel that she over-squinted her eyes which lessens the impact of her connection with the camera. Eva continues to do well and cruise in the upper half of the pack.

6. Dakota

Dakota kept things simple and I think it worked in her favor. It’s clear that she was aware of the bird and the position of the jewelry, and other that perhaps relaxing her shoulders more I don’t have any critiques of her pose. This angle is perfect for her facial features, but her eyes are only about 60-70% of the way there; she also needed to commit fully to the side-eye or looking right at the camera. It was nice to see Dakota recover from her previous off week.

7. Lara

I like Lara’s approach to this shoot. The slightly ajar mouth isn’t the best choice here, but her bone structure is stunning from this angle and her dreamy gaze is nice. She pulled off the reclined position well too, and while the limp wrist is a little overdone at least she drew attention to the both the jewelry and the bird. It’s an okay showing from Lara.

8. Michaela

Michaela has been slaying from the start, but she came up short this week. Her face is typically her best asset, but there’s not enough intent or emotion in her eyes and I don’t care for how she’s almost snarling. I do appreciate how she displayed the jewelry at least, and her pose is strong other than her awkward legs at the bottom of the frame. It’s not an awful photo by any means, but I expected so much more from Michaela.
