While Women's Hockey isn't panacea (trust me...I've experienced that FIRST HAND) there is a lot going to for it over MHKY. And you have options. PWHL, SDHL, AWIHL, numerous leagues throughout the world, plus elite college hockey, inline hockey, plus ball hockey, and in addition to that are the LGBTQ+ specific leagues which have tourneys from time to time! PWHL and College are on multiple streaming services, some free some not.
PWHL is free to watch in some cases, broadcast in others. U.S. College Hockey (not as familiar with Canada), is sometimes absolutely free, sometimes on ESPN+ or other services, some reasonably priced, some not.
