uh. queen of knowing way too many languages? are all the ones in your last ask all you know and how tf did you learn so many? i’ve been trying to learn spanish my whole life (i’m literally mexican) and can still only speak basics. and i’m bad at it. what’s your secret??
queen of knowing way too many languages cksncksnf thank you, that made me laugh. i know english, serbian, german, french, spanish, italian, arabic, and sign language fluently. i can speak bits of pieces of a lot of languages (i’m pretty damn good at russian, but that’s just because i know serbian. i also know croatian and bosnian, bc they’re the same language as serbian with different dialects. but as a serbian, don’t tell my people i said that. they would kill me). english and serbian are both my native languages, so i think that helped a lot in making my brain good at learning new languages. plus i spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital as a kid and a teenager (still do) so most of my time was spent learning, reading, and watching shows/movies. learning new languages takes a lot of time so it was a good distraction for me. the thing about learning spanish your whole life and still not knowing it is kind of hilarious tho i would’ve probably been like that with serbian had it not been forced down my throat as a baby. if it helps, i can’t roll my r’s properly and like, four of the languages i know have rolling r’s. one of the letters in arabic is literally a rolling r sound and i can’t do it. it’s hideous.
