JUNIPER DEPARTS FROM MELLOW AND MOUNT RECORDS

It has been confirmed that Mellow’s main dancer and lead vocalist, ‘Juniper’, has departed from the group and Mount Records.

Following Mellow’s most recent comeback and Christmas release, netizens noticed a decrease in Juniper’s attendance to official events and a lack in her social networking presence. A representative from Mount has released the following official statement confirming her departure:

‘It is true that Juniper has decided to terminate her contract with Mount Records and depart from Mellow. This departure is on good terms, and while we are sad to see her go, Juniper, her members, and the label have all decided it is best. She has decided to return home to Seattle to spend time with her father, whose health has been ailing recently. She has also expressed a desire to pursue her university studies in the USA. We wish her the best, and wish her father well also. We also hope that the fans of Mellow will continue to support the group’s activities and upcoming changes.’

Netizens are curious as to what this will mean for the group, considering member ‘June’ departed from the group and Mount as well towards the end of 2017, and member ‘Rylee’ joined the Mellow lineup. There were rumors that the group may add a fifth member for the next comeback, but these rumors remain unconfirmed. One question remains: What does the future hold for Mellow? On the 15th of August, Muse Entertainment released an official statement announcing that LoveBee’s leader June will be taking her leave from the group. Muse Entertainment also stated that she will complete her solo promotions which are due to a few days from now and once that’s done she will not be returning to the group but will remain a part of Muse Entertainment signed as a solo artist from this point on. 

Many fans are shocked hearing the news as it came as a complete surprise, June who always seemed very involved in the group has not shown any signs or wishes to leave the group which has fans speculate she was removed from the group or there being inner turmoil within the group. While others share their excitement for her upcoming solo career as they feel she shines better as a solo artist.

June who was also in the news just a few days ago regarding the end of her relationship with athlete and former National Team Ice Hockey player Gok Jaeyo, seems to be going through a lot. She has not released any statements herself regarding the breakup or the current news about her departure from Lovebee.

It’s been reported and confirmed that June (Hae Yeoreum of LoveBee) and Athlete Gok Jaeyo have decided to end their relationship. A representative of Muse Entertainment recently confirmed the news and stated they parted on good terms due to busy and overlapping schedules making it hard for them to meet up. Neither June nor Jaeyo has released a personal statement about the matter yet. June is currently still promoting her solo debut single ‘Radiate’ and there have been no plans to cut her promotion time short.

June and Jaeyo went public with their relationship back in April, after having reportedly been dating for a few weeks already. The couple has been quiet since and only been spotted together on very few occasions. They’re rumored to have met through a mutual friend. But they recently decided to end their relationship. This is not the first public couple to announce their break up as we see a lot more couples breaking up due to busy schedules not allowing them to meet up. While we wait and hope for official statements from June and Jaeyo themselves, we want to wish them the best in their future endeavors.

MELLOW’S EMI RECEIVES POSITIVE ATTENTION WITH LATEST PICTURES

This week, the youngest member of retro girlgroup ‘Mellow’ was photographed in public with a new hair color. Alongside praise from netizens supporting the singer’s new look, the drastic change in style has sparked rumors of a possible Mellow comeback.

On July 12, Mellow’s maknae ‘Emi’ was spotted in Itaewon near Mount Records’ headquarters sporting long, red locks. Emi had a brief but friendly interaction with a few fans who had gathered near the building before Mount staff ushered her inside. Previously, the singer was typically seen wearing a long, black style, so this change has naturally piqued curiosity and garnered commentary from netizens. The majority appeared to be in favor of the change, with some commenting, “It’s a fitting change for summer” and “The red makes her skin look so bright and clear!”

There is some speculation that this change in Emi’s look could be an indication of an upcoming Mellow comeback. It’s not unusual for idols to prepare for a comeback with a change in appearance, but as of right now, there has been no official statement from Mount Records regarding the rumors.

EMI WRAPS UP ‘WANDERING HEART’ PROMOTIONS WITH A SMALL FANMEETING

On May 17th, Mellow’s Emi hosted a fanmeeting to end her solo promotions for ‘Wandering Heart’ as part of Mellow’s Solo Projects. ‘Wandering Heart’ is one of four solo tracks from Mellow’s latest comeback album, ‘Hella!,’ and each member of the girlgroup will promote their respective songs. Emi’s promotions follow Rylee’s promotions for her solo entitled ‘Come To Me’ featuring Mount labelmate Kyo.

The fanmeeting was in a rather intimate setting, considering Emi is the newest member of Mellow. This is her first solo meeting with fans, though Mellow’s manager and other Mount staff were present. Emi discussed her feelings about her debut with Mellow as well as the process the group underwent for creating ‘Hella!’ as well as her personal process for her solo song. She talked about her initial nervousness, and how it felt to act for a music video without her group members. ‘I’ve been very lucky this year,’ she explained. ‘Not only was I able to debut with Mellow as an official member, but I have had the experience of what a solo career feels like as well. I feel as though I have grown so much in such a short period of time, and the support of Mellow’s fanbase has been truly amazing.’ She then discussed her inspiration for her solo song: ‘For ‘Wandering Heart’ I wanted to make a song that I myself would want to listen to at any time of day, and would lift my own mood. I like music you can dance to, since I’m a dancer, but I also like a calming sound — like something you can listen to before you go to sleep at night. Sometimes I have trouble expressing my feelings directly, so most of the lyrics are more conceptual or metaphorical. I haven’t had much experience with love and dating myself but I wanted to write a song that was relatable for others and hopefully explained my own feelings about infatuation as well.’

Afterwards, Emi answered questions from fans for a brief period of time and although the youngest and newest member of Mellow was alone, the overall feeling was very casual and relaxed. At the end of the meeting Emi reminded fans that the projects were not over yet. ‘I hope you enjoyed ‘Wandering Heart’ and Rylee’s ‘Come to Me’, and make sure you support our next member’s solo project as well! Who do you think it will be? Ah, I can’t tell you, but I hope you anticipate her promotions well!’

EMI SHOWCASES HER CHIC SIDE FOR ‘THE_SEXT’ WOMEN’S CLOTHING LINE LAUNCH

Mellow’s newest and youngest member ‘Emi’ is an elegant fashionista for the newest line of women’s clothing from ‘THE_SEXT.’ CEO Kim Cheolsu, best known for his menswear designs, announced the launch of this line of women’s wear earlier this week.

Following Mellow’s comeback announcement on February 18, new member ‘Emi’ is already making her presence known. After a recent dance cover with member ‘Gyuri’ was uploaded to Mellow’s YouTube channel, Emi once again made a digital appearance—this time as a model for ‘THE_SEXT.’

Kim Cheolsu, the 28-year-old CEO of ‘THE_SEXT,’ announced the launch of a new women’s clothing line as well as photos of Emi looking chic and stylish in a navy velvet blazer. Netizens were impressed with Emi’s mature beauty and high-fashion look enhanced by the lovely garments. However, some netizens did express criticism over the selection of a relatively unknown idol as the ‘face’ of the line. 

When asked why he chose the yet-to-debut idol, the fashion entrepreneur said: “Emi exemplifies poise and maturity in the way she presents herself. I knew she would be the perfect face for the new collection the first time I saw her. MELLOW’S EMI AND RYLEE HOLD ENTERTAINING V-LIVE STREAM FOR FANS

On the second day of February, Mellow’s Rylee and newest member Emi teamed up for a live question & answer session with fans. Both Rylee and Emi are the most recent additions to the girl group Mellow, and had the chance to interact directly with fans as well as show off their natural chemistry as group members.

Following Mount’s recent announcement about Mellow new addition ‘Emi,’ fans of the girl group tuned in to pose questions to the two members while also having a chance to get to know Emi. Although she appeared quite shy initially, it was apparent that Rylee’s presence helped the new maknae connect with fans.  Emi mentioned in her recent fancafé post that she had been a trainee alongside Rylee, and their strong friendship shone through during the v-live. Emi answered questions from curious fans about herself, revealing that she’d studied different forms of dance for the past 15 years, including ballet. Rylee, on the other hand, discussed her recent performance on Immortal Songs 2 and how she felt about performing such an emotional song. The girls joked with one another comfortably and even danced together, which made for an entertaining, upbeat session.
