I don’t know what I did Friday. I am going to try to remember right now. I had to go out for dinner. I don’t know where I went though. Oh yeah, I went to O’Charley’s. The service in there was terrible. The inside was trash too. Managers not doing their job well at all and so much more. My steak was pretty good though. I should have got ranch dressing though. I am not a fan of honey mustard on the side.

I went to Gabe’s too Friday evening. I could not find nothing in there. It is a big store but it isn’t for me. I was just being a good guy. I do that from time to time. I can’t do it everyday because then people wouldn’t appreciate it. You just have to sprinkle it in a little bit. Being nice isn’t like salt. It is like hot sauce. It packs the punch.

P.S. We had fun running to the car though.

Last Night

Good day all! So yesterday was girls night out. Now mind you there are 6 of us. So when it is time to go out only 4 people show up. Now that was not the problem. The probelm is that 1 of the 2 "CLAIMS" she did not know we were going out and she is sick. Even though we go out EVERY wednesday. So in my mind what does it matter anyway your are not coming because you are sick so if you forgot or not it should not matter.

She call herself being mad at the group, like we didn't invite her when in all actuallity she did not care enough to remember to come. Anywho, we went to O'Charleys and the skating rink. I dont even know how to skate but it is fun watching other people fall. So the night ended with them at 12am on a good note.

After that my plan was to go to my ex boyfriends house for a minute or two, but once I get over there he does not want to answer the door. So as I am walking away here he comes all willy nilly talking bout "Where you going?" I said "Home" and got in the car. My phone died on the way over there but I knew he would call me.

I get home all settled in and he calls asking me to come over. We exchanged a few negative words. Then jokingly I said "You must gone let me spend the night?" he said "Yea. You can jsut get ready for work over here". So I jump in the car on my way over and did not go to sleep until like 3am. I wake up for work at 5:30am. No good!!

Over all it was an ok night. I just wish I got more sleep.Maybe I can catch up on some sleep tonight!

Life After Waitressing

Friday night, I ate dinner at O'Charley's. 

I had a coupon. The food was excellent. The restaurant was busy but we were seated and all was well. Except the service. 

She brought the appetizer. Forgot my salad. Brought our meal. Asked if we wanted more bread, and my significant other said yes. I figured she might come back with the salad, so I didn't say anything. She didn't bring the salad. Or the bread. She refilled my significant other's water, waited a while, then brought the check. 

I promptly tipped $5. 

This is a classic case of me not getting good service. Why? Because I (a) am young, and waitresses know that young people typically don't tip well; and (b) ordered water, which points to a thin wallet and a small tip. Yes, I am young and order water when I go into restaurants. Have you seen the prices of drinks these days? I'm not paying $2 for a coke. It's not worth it. What IS worth it is tipping a waitress making disgraceful pay. And even when my service sucks, I will tip well. Because I will break the cycle. 

So if you're reading this, and you are one of the two demographics in this post, break the cycle. Customers (especially young customers), don't "teach him/her a lesson," because the only lesson you're doing by tipping badly is reinforcing stereotypes. Leave a good tip. Break the cycle. And waiters/waitresses, don't stereotype customers. You never know a $2 table from a $5 table just by looking, no matter how stereotypical the customers. Give good service. Break the cycle. 

So tip. Give good service. Break the cycle.
