mother hath returned . actually so excited for this ep bro oh my lord . i missed her . starting this off having only just now watched nail's mv before the rest of the post this might be a mess lmao . definitely not as well thought out as the other reviews i have im basically just liveblogging with extra steps

first comeback as a p1ece ! and by that i mean i became a p1ece literally a day before this released lmao . the highlights/ sampler came across my recommended and i remembered liking killing it/ back down in highschool so i decided to see what all they were up to . and oh boy am i glad i did this thing has no skips on it

to be 100% honest i listened to this as soon as it came out But i prioritized doing a review like this because i love this release so damn much . i wouldve done it sooner if i figured out what i wanted to do with this account/ if i wanted to make this account in the first place sooner

unique: FUN !! the production on this went Off i love it here . legally have to mention the choreography too because the lil shoulder move at the end has haunted my every move since i first saw it + that section in the mv is AWESOME oh my god their cinematographers/ film team need all the money ever . the mv is actually so cool i wish i could say more about it but i barely know Anything about their lore . all the play on words is really fun !! Also the way theo goes off in the background of the 2nd pre-chorus reminds me of that one jonghyun hooting and hollering clip lmao

pandemonium: get that thang off da floor !!!!! i love this song dude its my most played on the album behind loyl . really helps that when this came out i was Huge on my house wave (or as close to house as kpop gets) so i was Devouring this . their voices (esp. keeho's) were Built for a track like this i would Not be mad at more p1house .

l.o.y.l.: oh . my . god . my song Ever . i love it when songs are experimental, flow really well, and have an insane amount of bass to them so of Course this song is right up my alley . i wasn't expecting them to promote it at all but ohh my god am i so glad they did . also it'd be a crime for me to Not mention how fuckin' awesome jongseob's part in the verse is . also i Think it's soul doing the little vocalizations in the background of the 2nd and 3rd choruses and i Love the way his voice sounds there and in the song in general . this song Did take my heart and it was surprisingly easy . they found a way

wednesday girl: cute !!! id Love more piwon songs like this they sound awesome here . boom ba-ra boom ba-ra-rey . sadly gets kinda overshined by the rest of the songs on this album since the production's much simpler compared to the rest (which is a good thing dont get it twisted) but i really like her either way . nice lil listen that gives nice walk in the park vibes to me .

triple 7: Fuck . Yeah . honestly with the choreography in the highlights/ sampler i was expecting this to be the promoted bside but i kinda get why they probably couldn't (gambling references) . the prechorus is Awesome and Gorgeous . as will probably be my usual i Have to give jongseob his flowers for his rap here i love it when he has fun with his flows . can you tell he's my bias . intak also is Awesome here too dont get it twisted

ice (vvs): FUCK . YEAH !!! probably my third favorite here but its Really hard to pick . this song haunted me for like a week when this ep/ album/ whatever it is released so i did the Omen Classic(tm) and overplayed it like crazy . i still love her though . i Loveee me some rage this is awesome . im way too cold like the winter pull up make you freeze make you shiver . also i wasnt expecting the visualizer ???? but im really glad its here it really helped carry on the vibes from the sampler/ highlights/ whatever they called it

all in all awesome album it really excites me when a group experiments with their sound and it comes together really well . also excited what else they'll do in the future !!!! :]

i wish pinky up was louder/ noisier tbh . the chorus falls really flat and the production feels like theres too much happening and too little happening at the same time

like i mostly just want them to Fully Commit to being weird if they are genuinely wanting to continue pursuing that type of music/ reheating gnarly

my first release with them ! im so new to them that i dont even know their fandom name yet But !!!!!!!! we're getting there

won't be yapping about the korean versions of the songs on the ep because i honestly just didn't listen to them, i rarely listen to translated releases anyways

we on fire: good track ! it was a little hard to hear everything happening first listen since the sound effects in the mv were Really Loud, but i really enjoy this song :] not my fav on the album, but it has Steep competition so that's not necessarily a bad thing . really only thing is that i kinda wish the chorus did more if that makes sense ? it's really static and while i understand that that's kinda the point of the chorus it doesn't really separate itself well from the verses in my ears

bewitched: MY . SONG . i Will be overplaying the Fuck outta this track dude . im in love . hand in marriage . set it as my obsession on last.fm Immediately after hearing her for the first time . oh my god . im normal . 12/1o . no notes .

hotline: getting a little chippy i see.... im soooo here for it . really fun song ! it also automatically gets extra credit for being over 3 minutes, i miss when that was the standard for song length in kpop . cute little listen, will probably be the song i reach for the most in this ep (aside from bewitched)

sakura-iro yell: cute !!! admittedly my attention span is too shot for me to Really appreciate slower-ish songs like this sometimes if i hadn't heard it pre-tiktokification of the internet but this shit is Gorgeous to me so i love her anyways .

all in all really great lil listen, i expect to have everything in bewitched memorized by the end of the week . makes me excited for when i finally get around to going through their entire discography !!! :] (for reference the only &team songs ive heard before this was deer hunter and lunatic)
