Lucy was gone. She’d taken the Chloes back from Hank’s care and moved them to the motel in the Ravendale district; since the android uprising, it had become a ghost of itself, building having some broken windows but it was a good place to lay low. 

With a sharp tug on the door, it seemed the motel looked healthier on the inside than the outside. Interior decorating was definitely a thing that still mattered to this motel.

Renting herself and the girls the largest room the motel had to offer, they made themselves comfortable in their temporary home. That's when Lucy broke down. Everything that happened: Richards disappearance, the RK900, what Elijah had said to her. It all came crashing down onto her shoulders as she sat on one of the beds.

Sobs and wails ripped free from her lips and she felt her daughters pull her into the tightest group hug ever. Only then did she stop feeling completely alone.
