This morning, I asked the cards "What do I need to remember today?" I drew cards from the Smoke Ash and Embers Tarot and the Oak Ash and Thorn Tarot. ⭐ I don't need to hold on to everything. I hold on to everyone's pain and I try to ease it as if it were my own. I can't continue to do that. I have to let it go so that I can sparkle brightly. ⭐ I am not alone in this either. This morning, I asked the cards “What do I need to remember today?” I drew Death from Oak Ash and Thorn Tarot and the 8 of Cups from Smoke Ash and Embers Tarot. 🦋 I’m drawn to look at the way that the hare is looking up at the moths and the way the dragon is looking up at the stars. That’s the first thing that draws me in. Sometimes, release can be frightening but it doesn’t have to be. It’s a letting go of what no longer matters and of what I no longer need. 🦋 In one card, a hare looks up as butterflies emerge from their chrysalis. They are leaving behind a part of their journey; one they no longer need. At the time, it seemed like a kind of death, but it was actually the next step in the butterflies metamorphosis.  I have to do the same and embrace what is possible, let go of what I no longer need so that I can learn to fly. Change can be beautiful. 🦋 In the same vein, walking away from what no longer matters is also an act of change. A trail of Cups litter the ground behind a dragon. They have obviously left them behind and now they are entranced by the stars. Sometimes, I hold on to so much, but I don’t have to. I can let those emotions fall away from me so that I can make room for the emotions that do. With the dragon looking at the stars, it’s like they are making a wish and choosing hope. 🦋 Change and release are part of expansion. This is just another way that I will grow into myself. This morning, I asked the cards “How do I celebrate the day?” I drew the Page of Pentacles, the 2 of Cups and the King of Wands from the Oak Ash and Thorn Tarot. 🎇 In the Page of Pentacles, a hare sits surrounded by wild flowers and butterflies. The sun shines down on her and I can celebrate the day by stopping for a moment and reflecting on how fortunate I am. I’ve been given so many opportunities to shine and there are more coming. Right now, I just have to enjoy the moment and feel the sun on my face and enjoy the small moments of joy that I have been given. Each of them is an opportunity to celebrate. ✨ In the 2 of Cups, two squirrels are in a tree and one hands down his cup to the other, offering support and love. There is so much love in my life, too. My husband fills my world with love that has grown from a spark. Now it is a fire that burns as brightly as the sun. This morning, I asked the cards "What do I focus on today?" I drew the Tower from The Oak Ash and Thorn Tarot. 🌳 A tree has been struck by lightning and the birds have taken to the air. Eventually it will fall to the ground. When I look at this card, I am drawn to think of the foundations that I have built. They were built in fear and a time where I had to survive rather than thrive and I've held on to them for so long. ☘ By letting them fall away from me, for I no longer need to just survive, I will shine all the brighter because I've been able to let go if what had been holding me back. I've been in the middle of a spiritual shift. This morning, I asked the cards "What do I celebrate today?" I drew the 6 of Pentacles from The Oak Ash and Thorn Tarot. A hare shares a moment of kindness with the birds around him. Their is joy in the forest this morning and the sun shines through the branches. When I look at this card, I'm reminded of all the joy and kindness that I have in my life. I find it really easy to be kind to others, but have difficulty accepting the same kindness from others. I need to remember that kindness and joy is a two way street, that accepting kindness from others helps bring them joy.
