When I first saw this photo from Saturday’s jaunt, I thought it was just another unremarkable shot that makes me look like I’m going at a leisurely pace. Then, I spotted the 2 guys in the background, looking like they are chasing me with all they got. Except they are 2 of the really strong guys who were taking turns pulling the train in which I was comfortably tucked. They really put the hammer down in the second half and eventually dropped me with 15km remaining. This photo tickles me to death because I have no idea where or how I got several bike lengths ahead of them.
