I had a lot of fun drawing these and I’m sorry of the colours make them look confusing or inconsistent, but other than that I love how creative their designs are ^^

Her name is of course a on Aurora Borealis, she's a Light phenomenon that happens at night. (Aurora Borealis occurs year round but its more visible in the dark.) Aurora is chaotic. She likes scaring people through their windows with flashes of bright light. And she's mildly vain in herself, because why wouldnt she? Most of the humans she sees admire her work so much that they make art of it, gather to see it, arrange festivals, take pictures.
I like to think she gets along with U.N because of that shared artistic pride they both have in what they do.
She can interact with day and night folk, but tends to stick around with the night peeps because shes more visible. (Shes see through during the day.)
okay erm, so I had a post about Orion meeting some of my oc's, in one of those interactions Oscuro breifly mentions how hes going to see the northern lights and-
I just like the idea of him wanting to see his grandkiddy doing her job, although he's sensative to light in general her light is sometimes soft enough were he can view her work comfortably.
Plus she just likes hanging out with him because he doesn't care about what dumb hijinks she gets herself into, as long as she's safe.
Her relationship with her dad's is very healthy, Dark allows her to wander off and explore, he wants her to see the beauty of the world on her own, but does want to hear about what she does while they're apart. They joke with each other and she pokes fun at him when he's being melodramatic or pushy. (his insecurities are something he's been working at ever since meeting Orion.)
Her and Light have a "Worried mom" and "Rebel teen" relationship.
He's scared for her overall wellbeing and safety, he's been especially cautious after what happened to Dark. After the events of the movie I feel like he started to make more time for dark and eventually their kids.
Mild helicopter parent Light who just wants to share breakfasts with Aurora and her siblings. (Dusk, Dawn, and Eclipse.)
Aurora also has a deep respect for Eve, because sure, she's laid back- but she does NOT mess around when it comes to the crap Aurora gets herself into.
"You can prank insomnia all you want, unwind his cassette tapes, but if he finds out and dreams gets mad about it, thats on you." And that’s one of the more mild examples.
Plus Eve was the only one who could get Aurora to settle down when she was hitting the age where she nearly gave Dark tweleve heartattacks nightly.
*angry mom stare*

OH yeah, grandmammy Nightmare has an affectionate chokehold on Aurora, forced helped her learn irish gaelic.
Nightmare is fairly close with all her grandchildren, but tends to be a bit distant, not out of anything bad, she’s just a bit introverted. But with Aurora, she reminds her of herself when she was younger, reckless and a bit everywhere, but all at the same time, laidback and complacent.
She wants her to take things more seriously but also wants her to enjoy being a child, because Nightmare didn’t get to have much of a ‘normal’ childhood after becoming a person of the night. (She used to be human btw.) Overall Nightmare just wants her to be aware of the risks of her job while having fun.
