My ocs, Onyx(Blue Guy), Ester (Pink thing), Ome (Fariy), and Obsidian (Red Dude) are apart of a story heavily inspired by late 1990s early 2000s platforming games like Jak and Daxter, Rayman, and Sonic Adventure. Onyx is the player character. Onyx, Ome, and Obsidian are all apart of a dead antient civilization scattered across the continent that mysteriously all turned to stone on a random night, and for some reason Onyx was turned back into a person after 200 years of being petrified. Each shrine held many people within it, being powered by the number of souls that took residence inside its walls. when all of the people apart of this civilization were turned to stone, the shrines lost all power. Each shrine had its own power, and now when Onyx enters each shrine a small spark of power is rejuvenated by his soul, and as a last effort to stay alive the shrine offers it's power to Onyx. There's also creatures called fairies, they lack a soul but are the actual power of the shrine. Once a shrine runs out of power, the fairies associated with it slowly turn to crystal, and at present often sold in shops and hidden in shrines- either as currency or just trading something of equal value. Onyx is something of a switch, and using the fairies lets him use the power of the fae's respective shrine- but he can only use the fairies of aforementioned shrine if Onyx has it's blessing. Each shrine has a little place the player can run around as optional practice with the power given to him by the shrine.
Now Obsidian, he acts as an antagonist to Onyx- but not a villain. The elfish man has spent the past 200 years alone in a changing world while in the walls of a petrified ancient ruins filled with people he once called family. Obsidian is the man that turned the civilization and all it's people into stone after fighting back against injustice within his own shrine.
