i liked the idea that since yuri seems not to have a super close relationship w his own mom. yuri saw yuko as a nice healthy mom figure (since she /is/ a mom) and liked how she supported him
HE NEEDS ALL THE MOM FRIENDS TBH no but actually according to what I've read his only family right now is his grandma so in lead to believe his mom either abandoned him or she ded.
