I made a tutorial for how to fold the origami stars— the bottle fill videos are probably a tutorial enough for the bottle filling portion lol

i'm a poc (latino) and i think it's fine to cosplay pm whatever you want as long as you don't use blackface or make fun of the original culture. your friend sounds like they already have a healthy sense of respect and appreciation for the culture if they're worried about upsetting someone in the first place, and that's really all most poc ask for in my experience. tldr: they're not making fun of it or being rude about it, so i'd say go ahead. i understand if you want more opinions though.

Thanks for the response! I agree completely, but as a white person I always feel that it’s better to stay in my lane so I appreciate the response ^_^. I’ll keep my inbox open for other opinions in the meantime, the more responses the better, but I’ll let them know!

Yes it is, but also takes after south asian aesthetics (Nepali/Nepalese), it’s not entirely devoid of culture.

Also, the way you’re punctuating makes you come off a bit more rude than you may be intending.

I already said I believe in cosplaying whatever as long as you’re not being offensive, I’m trying to reach out to people of color since my friend is only getting responses from white people saying it’s okay. It’ll put them at ease if someone who is a part of the culture or background that is being displayed on the character would confirm if it’s cultural appropriation or not. I don’t think it is, but I’m white and I can be wrong about that.

dude just. cosplay it. you dont have to have a "i am not racist" card to do these things. you're not dressing up in blackface here. :/ its fine.

First of all, I ain’t the one cosplaying, it’s my friend. They worry that they’re going to spend all of this time on something, wear it, have people be offended by it, and then it’ll make them feel bad because it all could be avoided if they just were educated on it and they’ll just do a different zenyatta skin.

I understand, I’m in the same boat as you should just cosplay whatever you want even if a character isn’t the same race as you or is displaying something that isn’t from your culture, it’s a character. But it’s also important to be considerate and think about how something you’re doing can affect someone.

This is why I’m asking for them. They don’t have a tumblr, but they want to confirm with POC that it’s okay so they aren’t being insensitive or ignoring the people who would know best.

Yeah, I’m sure it is, I know it is lol. It’s just funny that I am just now realizing that NO public restrooms have stalls with doors on them in my dreams- it’s so awkward in the dream.

I have had many dreams with me being in the mens restroom though. I used to have a reoccurring dream where I’d be in the school and for some reason this person, usually a girl, would be extremely angry at me and chase me through the school

Always ended up in the boys restrooms and all the guys in there didn’t bat an eye at me and it was as if I belonged, and the girl never suspected me to be in there

Even before I knew the word transgender or me being a trans man, I kinda did know lol

exactly! It was a nightmare that Pearl was having, but the joke, for the viewers, was that it wasn’t Rose at all and whatnot. We know that Greg got in the way of Rose and Pearl, though we understand that wasn’t gonna happen anyway since Rose didn’t care the same way for Pearl and such.

And tumblr is quick to believe one trans woman and her claim of transmisogyny even though there was no joke of Greg being in a dress- it was Greg being Rose, the one Pearl idolized and loved.

Makes me so mad- there wasn’t anything transmisogynistic or trans about it but I keep seeing that post pop up with more people seeming disgusted with Steven Universe when it wasn’t like that at all.

But whatever, it’s tumblr.
