Xander received his eye scar during the attack on the castle at Highever. A Howe archer loosed an arrow at him, but he noticed in time to jerk his head back to dodge - it still grazed him badly enough to leave a gash, however.

       Despite being on his travels on and off again, the Warden still        received regular reports from his scouts from Vigil’s Keep. They        kept a constant watch on his home for him when he could not        keep his gaze upon it as the rest of Thedas called to him. The        man received word at Skyhold that his scouts were reporting        unknown activity in the Fallow Mire.

       Gold armor was covered in deep brown and green as he trudged        through the swamps of the area on his own. The Mire was already        known for it’s overwhelming amount of undead, so when someone        reported something interesting there it was hard to not go looking.        Armor colored his surrondings slightly golden as he held a torch        high in his search around the area.

                      Unsurprisingly, he couldn’t shake the feeling something                       was watching him. Something tainted like himself.
