upsetting ophelie isn’t exactly an easy task. always the optimist, it’s rare to see her emote with anything other than a smile. so that’s why the woman has absolutely no idea what to do with herself as she cries to herself in the bathroom at some bar she had stumbled upon. having no desire to draw attention to herself (she recalls lots of times where she would regret feeling hurt only because of what typically happened next), so she was quick to wipe away her eyes. she knew a quick splash of water from the sink would hardly cover her puffy eyes, but it was worth a shot. drying her face with a paper towel, she was startled to see her guardian in the reflection of the mirror behind her. “ god-- ” her hand clutched at her chest to feel her now racing heartbeat as she turned to them. “ you’ve gotta stop doing that. ”

Carly: For self-defense reasons, Kara and I are going to pretend to be burglars, and you guys have to act wisely.

Myles: Okay.

Ally: Sure.

Kara: If you want to live, give us all your money.

Myles: Bold of you to assume that I have money.

“I’m a good person, right?” there were tears gathered in his eyes and making his vision blurry. his voice sounded a bit hoarse, almost like he had been crying for awhile already.

She’d set up a surprise picnic for the both of them in the park, under the cool shade of a tree. It’s not the most impressive setup, but the effort’s definitely there given that she only owned very few things. There’s an old bedsheet laid across the grass and a small basket with chunks of bread and cheese inside, alone with a couple juice boxes intended for toddlers.

“I-I also brought some paper and colored pencils...! We can draw the beautiful things we see in the park...like--like this tree or something!” Aimi gives him a warm, nervous smile, with her hands tangled behind her back. “...d’you...d’you like it?”
