“You expected someone else. That’s cute,” the french says as she walks in uninvited. Shay felt tingles on her slightly parted lips as her heartbeat slowed and matched every step of Delphine Cormier’s heels on her floor. It’s her first time to see Delphine again after that night. She felt shivers on her spine rising up to the hairs on her neck and let out a breath she had been holding too long. Delphine is in her home. Again. This can’t be right. Delphine’s dark clothes on her tall frame is a heavy contrast against her home’s soft hues. This is not right. She must act now, and she must act fast but the shivers finally settled on her knees. She made a soft thud as she lowered herself on the couch. Silence surrounded them.

“I’ve been thinking, you know..” Delphine closed the blinds and Shay can’t help but be reminded once again of her room in the dark, with Delphine in this lovely room. They can’t tell which hair belonged to who.. She willed herself to breathe but couldn’t bring herself to do it. When Delphine removed her coat and bared her shoulders, that’s when Shay knew she lost any semblance on control left on her body. Delphine’s eye caught the teapot and walked towards it and smiled bitterly at the thought of Shay once offering her black tea with mint leaves.

“What happened between.. I can’t stop thinking about you Shay… Cosim-,” Delphine’s voice drifted off, deciding a certain name is not to be spoken of at a time like this.

“Why are you doing this Delphine?” Shay’s eye pierced through Delphine. No words can describe how furious Shay is right now. How dare she comes to her home - Cosima must not know. Shay cares deeply about Cosima. This scientist  is so different from all the others she have met. Cosima, with the dreads, the wild gestures, the piercings on her nose and nipple, her gaze without the glasses, her gaze with the glasses, the cracked lips, her long fingers. Shay stiffles a sob on her throat, thinking this intrusion from Delphine will definitely complicate and finally conclude her relationship with Cosima.

Instead of answering, Delphine strides to her bath tub - no, no, not the bath tub please, Shay begs silently. Delphine notices Shay’s horrified look and nonchalantly wets the corner of her mouth with her tongue. Shay shifted in her seat to face Delphine slighty. Ever so slowly, Doctor Delphine Cormier of the Dyad Institute sits on the edge of Shay Dovydav’s bath tub. Shay pressed her legs tightly together and lets out a ragged breath. “Tell me, Shay.. does your tongue still remember the taste of my lips?”

It was the morning after Cosima had almost attempted a risky science experiment on herself, forty-eight hours since Kendall died because of her, and she still hasn't slept. Every time the scientist closed her eyes she saw flames, smelled smoke, heard Evie's emotionless voice, and forced herself on her feet to grab another coffee. She was well aware that there are dark circles forming under her eyes, but she can't bring herself to care. Why care about beauty when you're going to be dead soon anyway, right? Scott tries a few times to get her to rest but after a while, even he seems to give up on getting through to her.

Sarah almost left them. She almost lost her. She almost lost Sarah. The one person Cosima trusts without even thinking about it. The person who has fought harder than anyone else for her since that fateful day in Alison's basement when the punk walked into their lives. Sarah whose harsh exterior hides the most caring person Cosima has ever met.
