someone pls talk to me abt obito/sakumo like. obito accidentally time traveling and getting stuck (that part doesn't really matter) but his moon eye plan failed and he doesnt even have his kakashi to stalk so hes having a mental breakdown but oh. Oh.. Sakumo looks so much like Kakashi.

Maybe if he just adds a scar here and a mole there, he'll look enough like Kakashi that holding him will soothe the burning in his chest

Maybe Sakumo is already hurting so much in his mind that the feeling of a kunai carving an X into his chest is a welcome distraction

obito/sakumo omegaverse agenda. ninja omegas try really hard to hide it bc it can undermine their achievements as ninja. and sakumo and kakashi have extra good sniffers so unlike other omegas they can actually smell themselves. it gives them a leg up on hiding the smell

[leaves out most of the au bc haha] when obito moves in with them age 16, he doesn't know theyre omegas yet. sakumo leaves his bedroom door open and in passing obito notices the Nest. and he asks kakashi if hes got a step mom or something (totally not out of jealous curiosity)

kakashi vaguely goes, "no, you never realized huh?"

obito spends a week wondering wtf that meant. until he sees sakumo in a robe instead of a turtleneck and spots the faded 20~ yr old claim bite.

obito is full panic mode now he knows hes never gonna escape his crush on that old man

obito/sakumo where obito makes kabuto revive sakumo with edo tensei as soon as kabuto tells him about it. and obito tells sakumo the eye of the moon plan because he knows sakumo already doesn't want to live and already believes this world is beyond saving.

a man broken enough to kill himself is the perfect prey for obito's ideology
