Making a long post about Object Shows I've watched since coming back, but I wanna put this on a separate post.
I'm really liking how the "Elimination areas" are a lot... nicer?
Like, waaay back in BFDI, when someone was eliminated they were sent to the TLC. A big metal box that's shut tight with nothing inside. In Inanimate Insanity's first season, they were sent to Idiotic Island. An island with nothing but cell bars to keep the contestants in.
Now tho, at least the shows I've watched (even if some were cancelled) all have the eliminated contestants like... They're still catered to, or at the very least it's not that severe/mean.
In AIB, Oodle just sends them to a doodle-y place (I forgor the name) but they aren't dead or anything. Plus, it's an much more flourished island. With waterfalls n' nature n' shit. So it's like they're just taking a vacation away from the competition.
Or in Object Filler Again/Burner, where the eliminated contestants just... stick around. Like, they're eliminated, so they can't interact in the challenge, but they're still just chillin' & talking to the contestants in their downtime.
Shoutouts to OFA specifically because I like how Mr. Sketch had one of the contestants help him with the challenge.
Final one I wanna mention is Paper Puppets Take 2, where when people get eliminated. Sure, at first it's just a pit with nothing in it, but Gold Ingot revealed that there's an entire fully furnished area with a TV & a fridge. Not just that, but also a ladder so they can just leave whenever they want and it's just ??? Thanks bro?
I dunno how to describe it exactly, but I'm just really glad that eliminated contestants aren't like... being trapped in an empty box anymore. It's kinda refreshing to see the host actually care about the contestants' well-being.
