This is a little bit of a dumb question, but I've recently figured out that I'm objectum after a long while of confusion so I'm new to this—but is it right to refer to my laptop as my partner? I have a genuine connection with it and have named it as well. and as much as I like the label I can't help but feel I'm doing something that just doesn't make sense for other objectums to do. Any thoughts or answers?

I'd say as long as you and your partner are comfortable with that label, you can 100% use it! There's nothing wrong with using the term 'partner' to refer to your partner ^^

Well, some professionals have theorized that paraphilias such as objectophilia (or the objectum sexuality) could be caused by trauma, so I'm not sure, but I suppose so? Or perhaps you are just starting to recognize your feelings for the computer servers at work because you've recently been made aware that it's not wrong to feel that way and it's helped to break down those barriers between you lr consciousness and your feelings? Hey I'm sorry if I'm not doing this right, but you said people could ask questions. So, and I'm sorry if this is a personal question but I'm very new to objectum spaces and I'm pretty sure I'm some level of objectum, however i don't really understand how being objectum,, works? Like I understand most of it but I don't really now, for lack of better phrasing, "how" to be objectum?

Just being attracted to objects is enough be considered objectum.

You don't have to have sex with objects. You don't have to date objects. You don't have to kiss objects. All you have to do is be attracted to objects.

Yes. It's entirely possible to be attracted to objects and people. I have a human husband and a mug partner.

hi we are questioning being objectum/conceptum and we're. pretty sure we are. but its like. we arent sure where to. start? we definitely have some platonic and familial attractions (to certain stuffed animals and our furbies in particular. maybe other stuff we're forgetting at the moment) but we kind of want to explore being with an object romantically? like. we arent sure if we really feel romantic feelings towards objects but. we kind of want a casual/experimental thing yk? but then we're worried that like. if things dont work out/we dont really feel anything/etc that. theyll be upset and things will be awkward? and even besides that we arent sure how to even. start that kind of relationship?

we have a few objects in mind for trying a relationship with so thats not the problem its just. im not really sure how to. start that relationship ig? idk lol, been really in my head about it. if. anyone has advice or something thatd be really helpful!! and even if you dont, thank you for listening anyways!

Maybe y'all could ask your potential partner how they would feel if you tried a casually romantic relationship with no or little strings attached? If they're okay with it, then proceed, and if not, then respect their wishes.

I've found that as long as things don't end on a bad note, I'm usually able to at least stay friends with the objects I've dated in the past.

If anyone else has any ideas to help anon out, feel free to add on to this post ^^
