guilt was on his face as well as concern. he looked down at the ground his lips parting for a moment as he listened to her, he wasn’t ever sure if he cried infront of her but now was one of the times. tears formed ever so slightly in his hues, he moved over to grab her face gently staring into her eyes whispering. “Nance, I need you to breathe first for me okay..?”

"No, I don’t want to breathe.  I just want to forget.  Just for a little while,” she shook her head, tears of her own welling in her eyes.  Her hands covered his on her face, her eyes closing tightly as she shook her head before gripping his shirt and meeting his eyes again.  She hated being so vulnerable, but it was too much for her.  She’d been strong for so long, and it was breaking her.  “Please Steve,” she pleaded, meeting his eyes.  “Kiss me.”

        Michael could honestly say he’d been surprised. To the point that he jumped a little. He’d actually been about to doze off himself until the boy’s voice rung out to him. “Hmm?” He questioned, blinking a few times to let the words sink in. “I-- I mean, I don’t know what helps you, but I’m still awake if you wanna talk.” At least he was somewhat awake anyways.

             That was DEFINITELY not something someone normally said to him. So of course he was a bit shocked, but it pulled a bigger smile from him than he expected. His cheeks heated slightly as he let out a soft laugh. “Thank you...” He wasn’t really sure how to take the compliment, as it wasn’t a normal thing for him to be told such a thing. “I’ll try to smile more then.”

    It was definitely an unexpected reaction to say the least. Brad was never used to people being so physical with him. At least, not in this sense. Jack was clearly the type to act first and talk later. He was instinctual. Brad definitely couldn’t fault him for that nor could he pin it as a bad thing. It was just-- surprising. 

    A gasp was torn from him as he reacted, hands immediately planting themselves on Jack’s hips to steady their position. The last thing he needed was to be knocked on his ass. That would just ruin the moment. Thankfully that wasn’t the result. Instead he took a second to take it in before responding with equal force, a soft hum slipping as he pulled Jack in closer. 

    He let the kiss linger on for a few moments, only parting when he needed to breathe. His lips were swollen and his cheeks stained red as he stared down at Jack, blinking a few times before finally speaking. “What was that for?”

“What if nightmares are all that you are?” Unsettling phrase falls easily from her lips as Lydia snaps a picture of the woods they were walking through. It was still daylight so there was no concern about getting lost but Lydia could’ve wandered through them endlessly, whether there was a sun shining above or not. Hell, she would’ve forgotten Cyrus had tagged along in the first place if he hadn’t spoken up with worries of his own. Worries about her. Which was crap, seeing as Lydia didn’t believe the genuineness in it one bit. Okay, maybe she did...but you’d have an easier time getting her to wear pink than admit it. She scoffed and finally lowered her camera, sending him a frustrated glance. “And no offence to the little psychoanalysis getup you’ve donned today but I don’t think it’s any of your business, Cy.”
