A. WHY MY LAST RELATIONSHIP ENDED: Well, you spelled it out (no pun intended) quite accurately there. I think we both needed to step back for a while and realise certain things for ourselves before continuing to do it together in the way that we had been. And I agree wholeheartedly in that it made us stronger.
N. FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP AT?: Gosh, this is probably not the answer you’d expect, but farmer’s markets are life. Especially in other countries. Although really just any bookstores, or a place with stuff that smells good – I’ll stay in a Barnes & Noble or Bath & Body Works for hours.
D. HARDEST THING I’VE EVER BEEN THROUGH: I think every intense trial where I need to face the concepts of loss and pain grows progressively more challenging with time in certain manners, but I guess it all stems down to seeing my mother die when I was 5. Or, seeing her almost die, to be taken to the hospital away from me for two days, to then learn that she couldn’t be saved either way. It just doesn’t get harder than that, and it makes life afterwards a very specific type of difficult.
R. FAVOURITE SONG AT THE MOMENT: Oceans by Hillsong Workship. It means a lot to me, especially with the reference to oceans. I tend to associate my mother with the ocean because they threw her ashes into the Pacific, so the song makes me think of the struggles that the PTSD associated with losing her only make harder to endure, but how in the end, God can still make good out of trials by teaching me about how to come closer to Him in 1) the way I deal with things internally and externally, and 2) how to be grateful for the good and the bad in life. So yeah, favourite song, and probably will be for a while.
E. MY BEST FRIEND: classicallyclashing Hi.
W. CONCERTS I’VE BEEN TO: Oh my gosh, so my first concert was Floricienta – look her up if you want, she was the protagonist of this latin american TV show who also sang and we were all obsessed with in, like, 5th grade. Then I’ve seen Paul McCartney in Lima (truly a legend), and Imagine Dragons, Fun. and Panic! at the Disco in Houston.
