A/N: Sorry this isn’t very good. I wrote this during some down time between two classes. Bare with me, please. :)
You walked through the halls, determined to get to your next class without today’s scheduled interruption. It was a futile attempt, you knew, as you’ve tried nearly everything to get from Divination to Care of Magical Creatures without being stopped, bothered, or nearly harassed. Yet, somehow every day he managed to stop you.
Head down, books tucked tightly to your chest, you barreled down the spiral staircase, going for the “don’t stop me, I’m in a hurry” look today. You quickly bounded down each step, just reaching the bottom before you heard his voice.
Stopping in your tracks, you saw two black shoes standing in front of your own feet. Slowly, your eyes trailed past the shoes, up the expanse of his body until you met his eyes.
“Black.” You acknowledged, and tried to step around him.
He matched your step with a grin, however, and chided you slightly. “Ah, ah, ah, where are you off to in such a hurry, my dear?”
Rolling your eyes, you sighed and tucked your books tighter to you in frustration. “You know exactly where I’m going, Black. Now if you’d just please move out of my way, I could actually get there.”
Sirius simply laughed, eyes shining with mischief, “Now where’s the fun in that?”
“Please Black, I can’t afford to be late again. Kettleburn will be sure to give me a detention.”
“Mrs. Y/L/N, getting a detention? Didn’t know you were a bad girl.” Sirius paused, leaning in closer, “I have to admit, that’s kind of a turn on.”
Checking your watch, you groaned at the fact that you’d now have to run just to make it on time. You were already running late and now Sirius just made it almost inexcusable. Shoving past him, you quickly picked up your pace, determined to not get yourself a detention with Kettleburn. The man was insufferable, as he had been known to talk about his past boring achievements for the whole two and a half hours of detention feeding the flobberworms.
Before you could make it even a few feet passed him, Sirius turned and grabbed your wrist to stop you.
“Y/N, wait.” In the middle of the hall, you watched Sirius shuffle from foot to foot as if he were contemplating something. His demeanor quickly changed from the confident boy to someone who was actually looking a bit nervous. You noted that shyness wasn’t necessarily a bad look for the young boy, as without his cocky overconfidence he actually seemed quite attractive.
However, you didn’t dwell on the thought as students were quickly clearing the halls, meaning that now you were sure to be late and detention was inevitable.
“I don’t have all day, you know.” You snapped, trying to free your wrist but Sirius held on fast. Your tone seemed to snap Sirius from whatever he was deciding, and for the briefest moment he looked almost disappointed before he glanced at the clock and noticed that class had now started.
“Nevermind,” he dropped your wrist, and you huffed in response.
“Thanks, now I’m sure to get a detention.”
Sirius smiled almost a bit sadly before shrugging and grinning, his eyes seemingly alight with the same mischief from moments ago. Although, you noticed that it didn’t quite seem the same as it did before.
“I guess I’ll just see you there, then.”
Your eyes widened in response before narrowing at him. “You did this on purpose.”
Sirius simply grabbed your hand again, kissing the top of it softly before trailing down and nipping the tip of your finger lightly.
“A marauder never reveals his secrets.”
Without realizing it, a small smile grew on your face and you chuckled before rolling your eyes again. “Can I actually get to class now, Black?” you asked, the harshness in your voice lessened significantly.
A surprised smile lit up Sirius’ face and he nodded, “I’ll see you tonight then, my bad girl.”
You laughed, and turned; walking to class leisurely, somehow forgetting how annoying detention seemed just minutes ago. Damn Sirius Black and his stupid charm.
