Observation Day 24-26th Jan. 2018
I woke up early today because this was the first day for me to observe the teaching at SMA N 1 Cangkringan School. 7.00 A.M. The driver from UII drop me to the school. Then I met English teachers, Bu Calis and miss Pettry and I also met with the headmaster of the school, Bu Anees. They were very kind person.We discuss about the teaching preparation. After that, my teachers let me introduce myself to students Grade 10 and 12. The students were so pretty and friendly. I really like that moment. Then my teachers discuss with me about teaching, lesson plans, and curriculum.
Curriculum
2006
This curriculum framework has been conceived of, and designed as a reference document for use by various stakeholders, i.e. teachers and learners, textbook writers, reviewers, examiners, and other users of this document. For this purpose, considerable effort has been made to explain the basic components of the framework, the design principles and the rationale for the competencies selected as key learning areas for non-natives speakers of English in Pakistan. The document is general enough to be used by all school types in Pakistan. However, it is specific at the level of student learning outcomes for each grade level for the teachers’ guidance.
2013
For senior high school students, the 2013 curriculum gives them opportunity to learn another subjects from the other major. For example, a student from natural science major can take some subjects in social science or language/culture major, such as sociology or economy. Students can take whichever subject that they like. In fact, students are free to choose major and up to two cross-major subjects as early as they enter senior high school. With this new feature, the Ministry hopes to abolish the paradigm that the students who get into natural science stream are smarter and better than the others.

Planning for teaching
Planning lesson plan is one of instructor’s missions and parts of education management system. An instructor have to prepare them before teaching and analyze situations for determine materials and teaching and learning processes. An instructor should select the proper information to analyzing situation. That information is gotten from course description, course syllabus, exploring basic problem, student needs, resource in a school and the supporting of community. After that an instructor have to determine learning scope by determining objective of materials, activity, instructional media, evaluation and other factors and then an instructor has to write them and create medias before teaching, so planning lesson plan is thinking process of instructor, decision process and performance process by analyzing factor involved to determine activities before, during and after teaching. This lesson plan will explain whatever that an instructor and students have to do follow the objectives.
Preparing lessons and materials
Preparing teaching is determine teacher’s activities before teaching by aiming teaching’s factor such as objective, teaching method, learning activity, instructional media and evaluation method.
How to preparing teaching
1. Studying curriculum to understanding about purpose, method, structure, detail of curriculum and materials.
2. Studying subject’s purpose to understanding according to curriculum.
3. Studying and searching other documents such as handbook, student textbook and other textbooks.

4.1 calculate amount of studying period.
4.2 calculate days off that fit in studying period.
Teaching in class
The teacher uses advertisement for warming the students for preparing the topic that they will learn. Sometimes, the teacher let the students read general books before start the class. The teacher gives the topic and then let the students understand the topic by learning by themselves and then, the teacher concludes the topic by the end of the class.
Measurement and Evaluation
The good evaluation and measurement should do several methods and many times. Evaluation has many ways such as questioning, observing, testing, performing, do the report, etc. It has to match with learning’s objectives. Main goals of evaluation are to improve teaching and appraisal learning’s achievement.
The evaluation should do many times because an instructor can’t judge students by testing only one time. So, the evaluation should do many times to allow students can adjust themselves. Since the students have different potential.
The good learning process management is relation of planning, performance and evaluation. Above of all, an instructor also has to consider learning’s objectives to allow the students get knowledge and critical skill follows the objectives. An instructor can acknowledge of the student by evaluation and management.
Students Grade 11. Studied about narrative. They can read by themselves.
My teacher, miss Pettry was teaching Grade 11 social class.
Bu Calis took me to Go Green Garden behind the school. The school was cultural and natural school. So they realized about culture and nature. Every Thursday, the teachers and the students of this school always wear Go Green T- shirt.
26 Jan, Friday.
The school had Batik Competition. So miss Ika, Batik teacher practiced the students to do Batik. Many students in this school were good at craft and they could do the Batik beautifully. After that, My Philipinos friends and I went to the UII for having lunch with our lecturers, and we presented about our country to them.
Then, our buddy, Pandu dropped us to many places in the University.
