There were some jobs that were just worse than others. There had been that one where she had to search through a dumpster, that was a lowlight. Then there was the time she got to eat a meal at a fancy city restaurant, all expenses paid, while she was tailing someone. So that was considerably better.
This one was somewhere in between. Sure, following someone while they went clubbing seemed like a great time in theory, but when they went to all the weirdest clubs in all of New York City, that was a little different.
So Kitty had to abandon the tailing for at least a few moments to step outside for a smoke. Of course, she’d forgot her lighter, but she spotted someone walking toward the club.
“Hey! You have a light?”
