Caed Nua
its striking how the game suddenly fills with colour once you’re out of the gloom of act one - on replay it feels a very intentional choice, paired with the way the game opens up for the first time, putting where to go and what to do back in the player’s hands
installed a mod that makes all companion comments get played and oh my god
i love what this game does with water effects
sending two of the last Eothasians in Gilded Vale to recover the rest
Eder lightening the mood as always...
(I forget how dark the opening act of Pillars 1 is. I’ll have more thoughts as I get further into the game but I’d argue the tone definitely broadens post past Act One)
Temple of Eothas time, which means this puzzle time...
My Watcher - Victory, a Pale Elf Priest of Eothas (and yes I did design my protagonist entirely around the Beast of Winter DLC from uh, the next game)
Madhmr Bridge, Pillars of Eternity - which I didn’t realise was an accessible area (well for a given value of accessible) for ages
