Letters of Enlightenment | Drabble
Allie,
If I ever get out of here. If I ever get out from underneath my parents, my father, Death Eaters, I’ll take you anywhere in the world. I’ll spend every waking hour with you. I’ll stop being such a coward. I’ll tell you how I feel.
I love you, and I’m not dead, I’ve stayed safe. I made a promise.
Pierce
Millie,
If I ever get you of here, I’m sure you’ll know everything I’ve hidden from you by then. You’ll be angry with me for that. But I didn’t tell you those things because I was scared. Scared of what a coward you must think of me, and now you know. I’m not some hero. I couldn’t turn my murderer of a father in.
You’re my best friend though, and I regret not telling you the truth, but my reasoning before this was sound. Now it doesn’t matter. You must be scared beyond belief. I’m not dead. I’m still here. I promised.
Pierce
Nash,
I should’ve written you, kept up with what was happening. I was a rubbish friend who didn’t want to get too close. We both pushed away. I regret it.
Pierce
Olivia,
Thank you, for letting me live with you, for being my mate. For caring. I know you and Finn will be happy. You deserve that happiness for all you give to other people.
Pierce
Mum,
You aren’t alive. You never got to meet me, Pierce Jugson, I wish you had. Maybe you would’ve been proud. Maybe you wouldn’t. I just wish I would’ve had the chance to know which of those you felt. If you felt anything towards me at all.
Pierce
Dad,
Do I look like you or Mum? Did you know I would have magic? What were you going to name me? Would we have watched muggle sports together? Would you have scoffed at all of my reading, or my nervousness around girls? Would you be proud of me as well?
Am I a coward?
Pierce
