Since adding in Aidryc for some RPing in discord, I just wanted to draw him with the others. In the RP, all four are designed by Alger. And though Aidryc never met Tunes or Penn, they can all still recognize that they’re technically siblings. And, of course, little Nik! The monkey-like robot buddy.

Okay. So. Back in February, 2019, I came up with an android character named Aidryc. They were an anxiety ridden android who had a tendency to shut down when panicking or throwing their arm at someone to “lend a hand”. Well, they came to mind and I decided it was time to overhaul their character, redesign them, and just... see them again overall. And honestly? I’m pleased. 

Here’s a comparison.

Yeah. Maybe it’s a style difference, too, but 2019 Aidryc looks more like an alien who is a bit creepy and awkward? But 2022 design? They look like a warm robot you can just hug. I bet they learn various handshake greetings and memorize them to greet each person individually. I also love the limbs and midsection being connected; the old design made it hard to work with them. 

Someone on Discord took not that they look a bit like Penn. And yes, that was the slight thing I was going with for the rebooted design.
