- apparently irl there's a long-standing finnish lutheran church in west village, so Ansa probably sought some community/support there as well despite not being especially religious/obv not super welcome in religious circles if outed
- doesn't consider her presentation or use of hrt to be a reflection of womanhood as much a desire for cuteness/prettiness, identifies more as a transgenderist or even a transvestite than a woman strictly speaking but does use "girl" in reference to herself in the same casual way as it's used in the gay community, considers herself to be a gay male, technically, but also transsexual isn't wrong, so—
- had to go for estrogen monotherapy in the us idk man spiro was still fresh for trans uses in '86 and importing cpa is iffy today so importing it in the 80s? DOUBTFUL.
- got NY versions equivalent to her finnish driver's licences bc they were a ton cheaper than in finland
- has a job in transporting, tries to look like a manly man normie for job security purposes and chain smokes bc 🤢 but this is one of the best job options bc it's relatively independent
