APPARENTLY i never posted about The Pink Album so i guess ill post all the characters i have designs for now

[OC Introductions: Lottie and Bill]

An eccentric yet friendly pair of twins, Bill and Lottie are travelers who put an equal amount of energy into learning about the world and having fun. Everything they do is ultimately for their own enjoyment-- sometimes at the expense of others.

Recently, they have joined together to conduct research on a town they found to be a hotspot of supernatural happenings, supporting themselves by co-running a small oddities shop on the side.

Lottie

She/her // ?? years old // 5'7" (170 cm)

Simultaneously sociable and emotionally closed-off, Lottie is quite open about her enjoyment of sword-fighting, music, and crafting. In her free time, she can often be found at the thrift stores or out clubbing. Lottie also seems to have a passive influence that causes people and things to act just a bit more unpredictable in her presence.

William (Bill)

He/they (no preference) // ?? years old // 5'7" (170 cm)

An adventurous and impulsive person, Bill enjoys all things chaos, jazz, and fashion. He will sometimes put on small street magic shows for those wanting to watch (--though, unlike most street magicians, he's not lying when he says the magic is real). It is hard to tell exactly what Bill is thinking or planning at any given moment.

“What can I get you?”

The man looked the bartender with a superficially neutral expression, a hint of a sneer dancing at the edges of his mouth. “Whatever’s on tap.”

“Sure thing.” The bartender, Bill, turned away to pull the beer, darting glances at the man from the corner of their eye. There was something about him… They handed the beer over and received a nod in response. They glanced around, the bar quiet, the tables mostly empty. It was still early though. Calm before the storm and all that. Bill knew that their shift would be way more hectic in an hour or so.

“Hey let me ask you something.”

“Sure.”

“What kind of place is this?”

“Ummm. It’s a bar?”

“Yeah I get that. But what kind of bar.”

The bartender blinked at that. What kind of bar? The man’s face was still seemingly neutral. He was older, face marked by wrinkles but his hair was still mostly dark with only a smattering of silver. “Just a bar. Sir.”

“Sir,” the man scoffed under his breath. He turned his attention back to his beer.

Bill went back to slicing fruit and other prep. Every now and again they glanced at the man, a little wary. They had a feeling that the man wanted to cause a fuss of some sort but as long he just sat there, they weren’t going to worry about it.

Bobby and Rufus walked in, regulars that the bartender was always happy to see. Their conversation broke off as they saw the man sitting at the bar. Exchanging a look, the two made their way over to the man.

“John,” started Bobby. “Surprised to see you here.”

“Hey Bobby.” John seemed smug about the lukewarm at best greeting from Bobby. “Rufus.”

Rufus shook John’s hand without saying a word. John’s smug smile widened.

“Why’re you here John?” asked Bobby.

“Can’t a guy get a beer?”

“You seen Dean yet?”

Bill’s eyes widened slightly. Dean was their boss. He and his husband Cas owned the bar, though Cas’ role seemed mostly to make his husband smile. Considering the one time Bill saw him try to pour drinks they ended up with broken glass and a sticky mess, it was probably for the best that way.

“I’m sure I’ll see him sometime.”

“Uh-huh,” grunted Bobby. He and Rufus turned as one and went to sit at their regular table.

Bill didn’t like the smirk on John’s face. He was still staring at Bobby and Rufus. None of this sat right with Bill. Trying to be surreptitious, they slipped their phone out of their pocket and sent a quick text to Dean letting him know John was here. They saw Bobby squinting at a phone in his hand, stabbing the keys with one finger and imagined that Dean was getting a heads up from Bobby too. Bill slipped the phone back in their pocket and pulled the beers for Bobby and Rufus.

“Hey can I get a refill?”

“Coming right up.” Bill handed the beers to Cara, the server waiting on Bobby and Rufus, and then handed John the new beer, taking away the dirty glass. Patrons began trickling in at a steadier rate and it wasn’t long before Bill was very busy and Pamela joined them behind the bar. Occasionally one of them would refill John’s beer. It creeped Bill out that the sneering smirk on his face never budged.

“What’s up with that guy?” asked Pamela, her hands never stopping moving as she made drinks.

“Not sure,” answered Bill, “but he’s been here for over an hour. Bobby and Rufus know him, but it didn’t look friendly. Plus Bobby asked him about whether he’d talked to Dean.”

“He’s here for Dean? Yeah, I can see that.”

“I texted Dean.”

“Good sweetie. No need him getting ambushed.”

“He didn’t answer me though. Hope he’s not mad.”

“You did the right thing. Never hurts giving the boss a heads up about someone looking for him. Speak of the devil.”

Dean walked into the bar from the kitchen door on the far side of the bar. He caught Bill’s eye and gestured them over. “Hey Dean.”

“Hey. Thanks for the message. He give you any trouble?”

“No. Hasn’t said anything other than asking for a refill since Bobby and Rufus talked to him.”

“He drinking whiskey?”

“Beer.”

Dean’s eyes moved back and forth as he thought through whatever was going on in his head. “So, Cas is gonna show up in a few minutes. And things might get ugly with my… with John.”

“Do you need backup?”

“I might. I… I hope it won’t come to that. But… You okay to be backup? I know Pamela is scrappy…”

“Of course. No, I’m good. And yeah, last time Pamela stepped in, it worked but she bruised the shit out of her hand and ended up not working for a week. I’d rather be the backup than try to run this crowd without her.”

“Good. Good.”

“It’s not a Poughkeepsie situation is it Dean?”

“Hell no. That one’s for drop everything and run. And I ain’t ever running from him again.”

Bill had a million question but also the sense to know it wasn’t their business. Dean would tell them later. Or over time enough pieces would slip out from the regulars for Bill to stitch it together. “Do you want me behind the bar?”

“Why don’t you hang out at the break table. Don’t worry, you’ll still get a real break after we see how this is gonna go. But that way you won’t have to come all the way around the bar.”

“You got it boss.”

“Don’t call me boss.”

“Sorry Dean. Just trying to show solidarity without making it weird.”

Dean’s grin cut through his grim expression. “Well can’t say you succeeded, but thanks anyway.”

“Anything I need to know?”

“He’s human. But he’s been in a lot of fights. And he fights dirty.”

“Noted. Silver?”

“Only if things go beyond fists.”

“Okey dokie.” Bill turned back to Pamela who was shamelessly watching their every move. She raised her eyebrows as Bill approached.

“Gonna take my break now Pammy.”

“You got it Billy.”

Bill took off their apron and went to the awkward table that was perfect for taking a break. Someone had put a smart-assed sign labeling it the ‘Time Out’ spot, complete with frowny face. There was even an outlet just under the edge of the table so they could charge phones.  They weren’t exactly looking forward to a fight, but they weren’t not either. It wasn’t often that they had to serve as backup for Dean, or that anyone else had to either. Once in awhile a rogue vamp or whatever would decide they needed a piece of a Winchester and figure that the retired one would be easier pickings. Bill wasn’t sure how anyone who really looked at Dean Winchester would decide that ‘soft’ was an accurate descriptor.

The time-out table had a clear view of the side of the bar John was seated on. They couldn’t miss the way John’s body language became more predatory as Dean approached. Bill clenched their fists a little. Dean worked hard and tried his best to be a good boss. He didn’t hesitate to hire Bill despite their vague background and spotty work history. Not to mention that ‘I’m not a human’ thing that Bill was sure would cause problems, especially with a Winchester.

“Dean.”

“Dad.”

Dad?! That explained quite a bit. Bill thought back over their six months here. Dean didn’t talk about his blood family besides Sam very often. None of what he did mention sounded like happy times.

“This your place I see.”

“It is. What’re you doing here Dad?”

“Is it so strange that a father would want to see his son?”

“It is when it’s you.”

“Watch your damn mouth.” All traces of amusement had left John’s face.

Dean’s face was more shuttered than Bill had ever seen. His hands were clenched at his sides, forearms taut, his body curled in a little on himself. Bill moved to the edge of their seat.

Cas walked in the door, his coat billowing a little as he quickly strode over to Dean. He placed his hand on Dean’s shoulder and Bill saw Dean fractionally relax into the touch. John saw it too.

“So the rumors are true.”

“Rumors?”

“I heard you were with some… person. I never thought my son would…”

“Let me stop you there Dad. I don’t care what you think about my relationship with Cas.”

“So my son decided to abandon his family to play house with some creature and open a gay bar. I thought I raised you better, boy.”

“Dean, do you want me to…”

“No Cas. No. Let’s just get it all out there.” Dean took a deep breath. “You wanna know what’s going on in my life? Fine. So A. This is my bar. Well, our bar. It’s not a ‘gay bar’ whatever you think that means, but we are very queer and it’s our place, so obviously it would be very queer friendly. Second, Cas is my husband. We’re married and I love him. He is my family so I didn’t abandon jack shit. And third. You didn’t raise anyone.”

Dean’s posture had changed while he spoke, going from defensive to confident. Cas gave Dean a smile full of adoration. Dean kissed his temple in response, his own expression tender.

“I raised you boys after your mother passed. I did everything for the two of you!”

“I did everything for us! Maybe you did stuff when I was only four years old but you started leaving Sammy and me alone when I was only EIGHT. For weeks at a time.”

“Oh you’re exaggerating…”

“No, Dad. I’m not.”

The raised voices had quieted the bar. Some patrons were studiously ignoring the situation but most, especially the regulars, were watching Dean and Cas or glaring at John.

“What an ungrateful…”

“We’re done, Dad. Done. Get out.” Bill slowly stood up, trying not to draw attention to themselves.

“I’m not done, boy.”

“Yes, you are,” said Cas tightly. “My husband said to get out. Now I’m saying it.”

“I should remind you who I am, boy.” John was standing now too, a little farther than arms length.

Dean looked over to Bill, meeting their eyes. Bill nodded in understanding, moving quickly to John’s side.

“Alright sir, the owners said you need to leave, so let’s go.” Bill was cheerful and relentless as they gripped John’s bicep and started moving him towards the door.

“Get your hands off me. Dean, you tell him to let me go, NOW.”

“They/them pronouns Dad. Also no. And thank you Bill.”

“No problem Dean.” They reached the door, John still struggling fruitlessly against Bill’s grip. Bobby was standing in the doorway holding the door open. Rufus was standing just outside the door. As soon as John crossed the threshold, Bill let go of his arm. “Have a good night, sir.”

“We’ll make sure he leaves, kid,” said Rufus as John stalked by him.

Bobby nodded to Bill as they headed back inside. Conversation around the bar had picked back up though most of the patrons were still shooting glances at Dean and Cas who stood by the bar talking to Pamela, their arms around each other. Bill was glad no actual violence had taken place. It felt good getting John out of here so efficiently. And if they had ‘accidentally’ held on a little harder than was strictly necessary? Maybe the bruises would be a good reminder to not come back.

“Hey Bill. Thanks.” Dean turned toward Bill as they approached the bar.

“Happy to help Dean.”

“I wish…” Dean trailed off as he scrubbed a hand through his hair.

“You can’t help who your father is Dean.” Cas was fond but it sounded like something he had said dozens of times before.

“No, I know. Well Bill, there will be a bonus in your check this week. Also Rufus and Bobby drink free for the rest of the month. Try not to let them get too carried away with it.”

“Dean?” Bill swallowed hard, suddenly nervous.

“Yeah?”

“Just. Thanks I guess. For uh. Well, for sticking up for me when your Dad was being such a jerk. It means a lot.” Bill was mumbling by the end of it, but at least they got the words out.

“We all deserve to be seen, Bill,” said Cas gently. “Seen and respected.”

Bill knew Cas wasn’t just talking about them. “Thanks Cas.”

“A toast!” yelled Dean, handing a glass each to Bill and Cas and taking another from where Pamela had set it. The bar hushed as folks raised their glasses. “A toast to all you wonderful folks, to my wonderful employees, and most of all, to my amazing husband. You are all my family, even if we’ve never met. And I wouldn’t change any of it for the world.”

“Here here!” the bar cheered as Cas and Dean kissed after taking their sips. Bill teared up a little. They hadn’t really understood that sometimes, for some people, accepting them could really be that simple. Bill downed his glass and walked back behind the bar to resume their work. Pamela squeezed their arm in support and whispered in their ear, “You’re my family too now sweetie.” That sounded about right to Bill too.

OC rambling

i'm making these two my ocs (they have been my OCs to me, but now officially). no reblogs in case i want to change some info. [car drawing]

the two kylars are now siblings... subject to change, but for now i like the name kana for fem kylar and morihiro (護熙 specifically i think) for masc kylar

similarities to before:

i've always drawn/headcanoned kylar as half-japanese half-Something (intentionally vague since one of their parents is supposed to look like the pc) but now i'm canonizing this. i've yet to think about what the other half is but they do still vaguely live in the uk. kana is better at japanese.

they're still weebs, but they have a superiority complex about it over other weebs because of their background

both still yandere. kana is more obsessive, morihiro is more protective.

still bullied in the past... still bullied now. morihiro more often than kana.

differences:

not in high school ..! kana is older than mori, i'm thinking 25-28 range while he is 20-23ish (subject to change, those are just guesses)

their father is who-knows-where, their mother is japanese and a researcher so they've moved around. both homeschooled a decent amount. both a little neglected and had to be somewhat independent earlier on.

kana travels for work a decent amount, mori works doing electronics repairs and maybe at a corner store as well, has a small flat... they both live alone

both are online a decent amount

i'm sure there's more i'm forgetting, but that's some info off the top of my head. all of my previous art of them both is still 'canon' and so is my rp blog (besides character interactions).

as a bonus, three of my other main ocs i drew in october... i intended to change some of the outfits and colors (hair colors aren't 100% correct) but i lost the file so i'll just add it on here... i might repost later, idk.
