okay alright so @/aether-link had this really cute post that featured their vulpaphyla & a few other pets with real cute names that made me think abt the companions i don't take out a whole bunch anymore, which resulted in. uh. a whole lot of captura.
which i now inflict upon y'all because look upon my creatures, boy
a few of them even have lore!
i'm gonna talk about 'em under the cut.
this is a very long post.
We start at the top with Amethyst, who is a good strong creature but only lives with my Dagath loadout. She's doesn't really live up to her namesake (purple) but she does like to clear maps, and I love this for her.

I have favorites and B1n-G0 is not among them, sorry 'bout that buddy :( -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bitty is one of two helminth chargers, hatched (popped? spawned?) shortly after the release of 1999. Full of maggots. Very powerful, very beautiful. Doesn't get taken on walks much anymore, but still loved.

Bless is a smeeta kavat, and was my main companion for a very, VERY long time. She's circa-2017, and helped soooooo much during The Mutagen Mass Farm.

Boise is about as old as Bless. I didn't take any new pictures for her but her essence is captured pretty faithfully in this ancient-ass post. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Bonk is the best goddamn MOA in the system. It's one of the few companions that hold a pseudo-spot in my canon - it definitely accompanies my operator on a lot of her jobs, but I also really dig the idea of it terrorizing Höllvania with the Drifter. I love this hostile fuckin creature. This is a cassowary. It's just a cassowary.

Carrier Prime is one of the luckier sentinels in that it has a purpose (being a shoulder parrot for Sevagoth Prime), but still falls in the sentinel category and is therefore, sadly, unused and largely unloved. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
D0-B3r shares the same fate as B1n-G0 (mastery fodder). A good loyal robobeast, but overshadowed. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Dappa is Dappa! That's all he needs to be!

I first posted about Dmi a long long time ago, because I did not expect a kubrow to turn out so fucking large. He's not super beefy like some OTHER kubrow we will talk about soon, but still.

Honorable shoutouts to Drakob, an Adarza kavat named after a friend's IRL cat; Dethcube Prime (unused), Djinn (same), and Fisk (deserves better).
Helix is the other of my two helminth chargers, very small and very old. She sleeps in Helminth's room on the orbiter, because she's old and tired. I did not take pictures of her, but I love her. She is blue and white and pink.
Helios Prime is in the sentinel box, but comes out for short periods of time when there are new enemies to shove into the codex. Currently in hibernation, will be brought back for Isleweaver.

I LOVE this dog. THIS IS MY FAVORITE DOG.
She's a random hatch I've had since my 2017 days, and recently settled into my Drifter's canon as a companion from Duviri, similar to the Drifter's kaithe. I love her I love her I love her.

Louart is Drakob's spiritual twin, born around the same time and named after one of my IRL cats (Louie!).
Maahes used to be more active, but when Qorvex replaced Inaros as my tankyboy of choice, he kindof fell of the radar. He still goes out with Nidus from time to time, but that's not often. Very fun to run around with an 8k health Predasite, though.
Tips cap to Nautilus Prime and Oxylus, sorry you're in sentinel storage. You won't be coming out anytime soon. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Peets is Peets, named such because of his funny round toes. Not much else to say! He doesn't get out much.

Satine is my beautiful precious tiny delicate perfect little gorl.
She is so lovely and pretty and photogenic. She also sings/howls/yells/argues like a husky, which is cute until it's not. She was my Drifter's dog during The New War, but is now the Operator's problem until Drifter gets back from 1999. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Remember Bonk? Bonk and Sc0u-B are similar creatures, in that they have certainly killed and they will certainly kill again. I'm realizing a trend in the type of robot the Operator tends to build. Hm.

Shwimp is a good dog. One of my best. Didn't expect to love this weird sea creature as much as I do, but here we are. Durable and dangerous, my go-to for most survival missions. Excellent tracker. Will find you. Will ask for treats.

Fudging alphabetical order just a bit to group Slyfer, Strahd, and Wyrm Prime in the "You Deserve More Love" category. Alas, I haven't really incorporated them into my loadouts (with regards to the work Wyrm Prime did while I was farming Apex H-09). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Their name is Porkpie.
They are baby, and will remain baby, and as such cannot be taken into captura for a proper photoshoot, but in canon they roam around the mall and get into SO much trouble and I assure you they get so many table scraps and belly rubs. Velimir spoils them rotten and Drifter is this-> <-close to keeping Porky in the backrooms indefinitely because "if you fill them up on pizza they won't eat anything else and they NEED to eat other things, Velimir--"
