OOooo ok ok ok so I'm going to share some stuff about an OC that I have not posted about yet because I have been having brain rot lately lol

@captainrexisboo and I created a bunch of OC's that we named after drinks and we created a whole squad that we dubbed the "headache squad" and the OC I will be telling you about today is Cider!

This is Cider

Now Cider starts off as kind of an asshole. He is very sour and does not joke around. He is an excellent soldier though. He is very good with any weapon, but he specializes in melee weapons and carries a collapsible Bo staff and a knife strapped to his thigh. You do not want to be caught on the mats with him because he will kick your ass.

Cider doesn't express his emotions well. After a hard mission, he will often be found in the ship hangar, alone and brooding over his emotions. It is only until a fellow member of his squad (Cocoa) comes down and offers him some comfort that he finally learns to open up.

Now, we all have eyes. Cider is hot. So, whenever they are planet side and are at a bar or something, he is constantly hit on. But he hates it because he knows that most of these people are just looking for a hook-up. So someone will come up to him, flirting and trying to introduce themselves and he just looks them in the eyes and says "No." with as much dismissal and venom as possible.

He does indulge in occasional one night stands just to relieve some stress, but he secretly longs for companionship. He wants someone he can love and depend on and someone who will take care of him.

Until one night, he meets Cassia, a sunshiny, kind, shy scientist who was dragged out by her friends. Now their first meeting is a bit chaotic and Cider is a bit of an ass to her because of a misunderstanding on his part, but he is intrigued by her and offers to buy her a drink and get to know her better.

They start dating, and bit by bit, Cider allows more of himself to be seen, not just by her, but by his squad as well. She slowly makes her way into his heart and he becomes a better man for it, learning how to express his emotions and becoming more comfortable in his own skin. He still has some of that sour kick to him, but he has a new kind of calmness and peace about him.

Ahhhh. I'm going to stop there for now because if I keep going this is going to get long but if any of you want to know more, just send an ask! We have pretty much all of Cider's story mapped out (and even have a few drabbles written lol)

Ok ok so... the story of how he got his scar is filled with angst so be prepared.

So he got it very young, as a cadet (like the ones that are around Boba's age in AOTC). His batch was always a little bit odd. His twin, Rum, is the complete opposite of him. Always joking around and having fun, but when the two of them are on the battle field together, the work like a well oiled machine. But... Cider didn't always used to be so closed off.

The rest of their cadet squad was a bit disconnected from Rum and Cider, seeing the bond that they shared, but they were still as close as could be. One day, during a training simulation, one of the members of his squad who had always had a little trouble seriously messed up. He mis-stepped, causing one of his squad to fall off of one of the platforms and break his leg, and getting himself caught in the center of all of these repurposed commando droids (this is a melee simulation for possible outcomes where they do not have their blasters)

Cider sees his batchmate calling for help with tears in his eyes as he stands over the other boy who is clutching his leg on the floor, cowering as one of the droids is about to strike. He rushes forward, blocking the blow of the droid and standing over his two brothers, he fends them off, nearly taking out every droid until Rum can arrive to help. He turns to give Rum an order, ready to tell him to get the injured and run while the other covered their backs. But, as he's detracted, one of the droids slashes at his face, causing him to fall back as he is blinded by his own blood.

He hears a buzz, the one that signals that the simulation has been terminated and frantically wipes his eyes. The trainers come in, between them on of the kaminoan caretakers. They say that they have come to take the young cadet who "caused so much trouble" to be decommissioned as it is clear that he is not fit to be a soldier. Cider shouts at them, holding his brother close to his chest as the rest of his squad joins him, saying that he is not defective and that he won't let them take him.

Of course, eventually, they do, and Cider and the rest of his squad are left, incomplete and broken at the lost of their brother. After that, they are all separated, put into different squads until they graduate. Rum and Cider were still put together because of how well they worked together, but Cider was given extra "training" because he was found to be too emotional at the time.

That is why he pushes everyone away and does not let himself feel. You only get hurt that way...

Sorry, that got away from me. I told you it was angsty though 😭😭😭😭

As for his hair, it is naturally that color! A "defective" gene. As his story goes on, he lets it grow out and doesn't slick it back as much and he gets magnificent auburn curls 🥰

I'm so glad you think he's beautiful though. I tired to make him quite attractive.

He'll fight you on it, and it may take a while, but he'd eventually let you hold his hand ❤ but only for a second lol
