Psychoformication: An Introduction

OK so I'm working on a writing project called Psychoformication that will be posted on Ao3...whenever chapters are post-ready. This is the beetlegirls killing each other project. Sharing a brief pitch of the story and also picrews/bios for the characters today, so enjoy! :3

Seven women awaken with incredible powers, each of them deciding if they're going to use those powers to fight nascent monsters threatening the city or turn those powers against each other as their hearts' desires incite conflict. Heated drama between women ensues, and the future hangs in the balance of it all. Psychoformication is a surreal battle royale of lesbianism and the inherent violence of human connection.

Citing influences might hint at more things than I want to reveal right now, but I'll say there's a lot of Kamen Rider here (Please act surprised.)

The Characters:

Four — She/Her — 33yo Background: Four is a tall, broad-shouldered motorcycle mechanic who works at a small garage in the city. She recently moved in with her girlfriend, Ellen, and does her best to be the stable support in their relationship.

Ellen — She/Her — 31yo Background: Ellen recently moved in with her girlfriend, Four. When she's not putting on a customer service face as a receptionist for a psychology practice, she tends to be quiet, judgmental, and mood swingy. Doesn't have a lot of friends.

Jack — She/Her — 26yo Background: Jack is a muscular butch who believes her best qualities are her aggression and her toughness. They're traits that are equally useful on the roller derby track and in bar fights, her two favorite pasttimes.

Zara — She/Her — 29yo Background: The only thing Zara loves more than photography is entomology, and she's hoping to parlay her part-time work into a living as a nature photographer. Her ambition is undercut by doubt that her gentle nature makes her unfit to be an artist.

Cam — They/Them — 23yo Background: Camille is a nonbinary woman who says, "Fuck the status quo!" and, "Don't call me Camille!" They make a little money posting skateboarding videos online, but also perform less-than-legal gigs from time to time. Whatever you think Cam is, they aren't.

Maia — She/Her (He/Him at work) — 18yo Background: Maia is a closeted trans woman who has to work two retail jobs to help support her disabled father and three brothers. She's tired. So tired. Maia would love to have hobbies someday, but luxuries come after her family's safety.

Jillian — She/Her — 42yo Background: Jillian is a executive for a chain of pharmacies owned by her family. Being a corporate scion hasn't made the boardroom games any easier to endure, and she longs for identity outside of her family's business empire. There has to be more to life than profit reports.

And those are the women who live rent-free in my head and also in a bunch of documents on my computer! I'd love to hear comments or answer questions about them, so let me know what you think in comments, tags, or my ask box!

I don't know when I'll start publishing chapters (They have to get finished first), but I plan on this being a long, ongoing series. I'll obviously post a lot about it when chapters get published.

Ok who pissed off the big pink piano elf?

For reference, Ellen is a Melody Elf (a elf intuned/intertwined with a musical instrument) and her instrument is a piano! The tattoo are actully marks that appear on the elves when they find their instrument! And what's even cooler is that if she presses the keys on her body, they makes sounds like a real piano!

We love and slay Ellen our queen!

Ellens Ellens and ELLENS!!!

The amount of thoughts about her and her lore and other characters from her world is countless

Soo.. i'm afraid of spoiling bcus she's from a project that's far and faaar away from happening but basically...

-she is inspired by Starscream (especially EARTHSPARK)

-became part of a revolution by the age of 13-15

-she was controlled by three powerful figuras(her mother, Lady judith and Daniel(the first and the second leader of the revolution)

-she became Leader of the revolution(no longer called that bcus they won) after Daniel decided to trust the sacerdot but they all stayed quiet in the shadows because they were on an entirely different continent and they wanted to make sure that this government wasn't like the Schakanian one

-this girlie has fast healing and somehow no scars, not even the ones made by Daniel
