She is a report writer for the Nova Corps, helping with their information databases when it comes to off world events. Ever since the attack on Xandar many of people of her planet now want to know more about the world beyond, now she is a news reporter as well relaying information that can be told to the public.

Maania is one of the best there is when it comes to her job, there are many hours spent in her office or out in the field. Making her determination known amongst everyone who tried to make her take a day off. Still while in filed going over a story the girl is kind to all those around her, but don't take that as weakness she will quickly dispose of someone if they cross her.

Xandarian born and raised, living in the big city due to both her parents working in the Nova Corps. Still she lived as peaceful as possible during a time of war, always worrying about her parents, but always happy to see them both. Five years before the treaty she lost her father to a gorilla attack on a Nova Corps space station. For those five years Maania threw herself into working for the Nova Corps information center. Working her way up regardless of the hours and the sacrifice. However, the job led her only to sadness, a year before the treaty Ronan the Accuser destroyed the outpost her mother was stationed on. Ever since then Maania only had her work only wanting to be the best that she could be. After the attack on Xandar, something changed with in her as well as the people around her. She went from only making reports to being on screen relaying news reports to the masses of the galaxy and now she is working on her newest assignment: The Happenings of Terria.

Maania went through the basic training for the Nova Corps, learning defense techniques, weapons training, and flying lessons. However, she is not one to keep up with them all the time so they can be a bit sloppy, besides flying.
