Your love is like whiplash –– it comes in with the rain, it blows the doors wide open. When you fall in love, it is sudden and hard and immense. It is powerful. It is earth-shaking and world-ending. Nature is a force, and that force can be destructive if you're not careful. See how the world is doused in gasoline and set on fire –– your love consumes, your love takes, your love burns. You're hot and cold all at once, a hurricane and a wildfire bound together in skin, and when you're in love, it can feel like it's eating you alive from the inside out. Can’t argue with that. I actually took this twice because the first time I answered from the context of how Echo sees their relationship where it’s at now in early Act 3 and got “Love as a Flaw” which is incredibly accurate for the current state of things in Open Invitation. I think if I planned for Astarion to ascend it might remain that way. But overall, if everyone gets their shit figured out, Love as a Force of Nature tracks for my beautiful chaos goblins - neither one of them are meek, blushing violet type personalities: Astarion is a theatre kid and Echo is practically a feral child.
Therefore, their love is wild and passionate and untamed and visceral. They have a connection that transcends casual courting and societal norms, and it’s as dangerous as it is beautiful. I’ve said for weeks now that they have the ability to make each other better, or so, so much worse, and it’s proving to be a difficult line to walk for them. That said, these two with their shit together, trusting each other, loving each other unconditionally - healthy, healing, whole…
