BECAUSE I LOVE THESE GUYS AND THEIR STORY CONSUMES A LOT OF MY BRAIN

Godlings is my big, current project and these guys' 'home' canon. Long story short, they have godly/beastly genes in 'em and have ~poowwweerrss~ based off of them! But there's also like nine thousand AUs they get put in for the sake of late night RP funtiemz (and in one case telling top cow to suck it).

Kiet Wills (Daw Kadesadayurat) -- Kiet is pronounced 'kyet' like a single syllable -- rhymes with 'nyet' like the russian 'no'

blurb: An idealist, pessimist, dreamer, and cynic all in one, Kiet is Thai-American and maintains a healthy amount of hatred for a world she desperately loves and wants to see the best in but can't help but feel constantly betrayed by. Gifted in music and linguistics. Fussy, no-nonsense, and foulmouthed. Her hobbies include roller derby and learning all the ways ever to shut assholes down, whether that's by honing her cutting remarks, refining discussions of social problems, or just beating the everloving snot out of them. She's very fond of MMA, especially in heels. (Admittedly, that is an art she has yet to master.)

Despite growing up heavily influenced by both Thai and American cultures and traditions, she feels like an alien in both. During her tumultuous childhood, maxims and behaviors perpetuated by both cultures made an already traumatizing experience muuuuch worse, and now she is relentlessly driven by somehow achieving change--- but she fears just as much that everything she's fighting for will be for nothing.

Addison Lyle Miller

Adder is a golden retriever in a human suit. He loves people. He loves animals. He loves trees and plants and everything earthen and greeny and outdoorsy. He loves things, basically, he loves DOING THINGS, and of course he loves DOING THINGS ENTHUSIASTICALLY! Coincidentally, he also loves lacrosse, so by proxy he also loves chasing balls. But most of all he loves you. Yes, you. You are his new best friend, didn't you hear?

When he's not busy loving the shit out of everything, he likes to spend his time laughing loudly, annoying whomever he can with lame jokes and general shamelessness, honing his marksmanship and freerunning skills, and forming a cohesive life plan on how to become the best dirty liberal hippie of a politician in the history of politicians ever. (That, or take over the Daily Show.)

Adder is a military brat and has lived all over the world, but has spent considerable time in Beijing and suburban New Jersey.

Takeshi Mitarai (御手洗威)

blurb: Aloof and weird, lover of all things creepy and macabre, and a snarkmaster extraordinaire. A very good example of lawful neutral, Takeshi is reserved, lives in his head, and generally very anxious, but when he can relax, he is lively, extra-sardonic, deeply loyal, and overall an excellent companion to unwrap the universe with (provided you're also quite interesting yourself). While liable to fall in love with physics and the universe at large, Takeshi's field of choice is fine arts. His family is quite Westernized (paternal side immigrated to the UK some generations back; mother is American-born) and he often feels that learning and using traditional Japanese techniques and styles are the closest he gets to maintaining any sort of cultural identity.

His sense of humour is very dry but also borders on completely nonsensical at times. In most verses, Takeshi also suffers from some form of PTSD as a result of childhood trauma and ongoing abuse.

Wendy Hsu

blurb: Wendy is thoroughly sweet. She squeaks when you poke her, she dresses like a cupcake, her favorite thing in the world is bunnies and she fantasizes of the day she can have a house full of them. She finds something to admire in practically everyone she meets, and she's got crushes on just about everyone-- and ask her about 'em and she'll blush and squeak and hide and get all cute and shy. She has a terrible poker face, wears her heart on her sleeve, and is just so earnestly nice and sweet it's almost unbelievable.

Wendy is also extraordinarily fond of examining dead things, digging in dirt, ancient Chinese political history and battlefield archaeology, Shaolin wushu and weaponry, and wearing sexy lingerie underneath all those fluffy pettiskirts and blouses.

American-born Chinese and the middle child of three sisters. She keeps in close contact with her heritage and is close to her grandparents, who still live in Beijing. I would say a little more about her background, but Godlings spoilers! >__<

style: over the top feminine! sweet lolita meets librarian! godling: Dian Mu/Lei Gong shipped with: Caleb, Kiet, Ace, Ross, Takeshi, has probably slept with just about everyone else, too dream VA: Michelle Ruff (a la Tsukasa) -- although anyone gentle and sweet would work!

Zachary Gallagher

blurb: Zac is a big bear of emotions.

That's it, that's all you need to know jk, but it is a very accurate one-sentence description of him. Zac is deeply compassionate and driven by a deep-seated need and desire to protect others, although he grapples with how little he feels he can do in a crazy world full of hurt. Zac is worn-out and skirts along depressive episodes, often barely making out of bed in the mornings, but he relentlessly tries, not sure what else to do and quite sure there's nothing else he wants to do. (Also, he's as stubborn as a mule, even contrary as they come when he's pissed off enough.) In his heart, though, he maintains a constant wonder for the entirety of the universe and its crazy patterns -- it just takes some good company to bring that back out from all the tired. At his best, Zac can be a creative visionary who does a lot of good in a troubled world, making people laugh and feel safe and loved the whole way.

Zac tends to find himself with a rescue dog or two running around his apartment, and they really become his furry kids/best friends <3 . The main dog who's an actual recurring, established character is Solo, a rambunctious German Shepard/ex-police dog who needed a home.

Though proudly Oglala Lakota, Zac grew up largely isolated from his culture, geographically and otherwise. While his heritage has still deeply influenced his identity and goals, he struggles with how he understands and experiences the "integrity" of his identity and his relationship to his community and people.
