the line of elros ≋ princes of dol amroth ≋ headcanon disclaimer
Karazôr the Mariner was the son of Zâirêluk, and the fifteenth Lord of Dol Amroth. He was often out at sea and rarely at home, leading to strife between him and his spouse Zâiralêth, who took the responsibility of running the castle much more seriously than their husband. Karazôr and Zâiralêth had only one child, and their marriage was cold from their son’s birth onward. This son, Asdihil, stayed in Dol Amroth while Karazôr was away, learning how to rule not from his father the Prince but from his other parent. Determined to have a happier home life than his parents, Asdihil looked earnestly for love and found it in Lômihirî, a visiting noblewoman from Lossarnach. The two were wed, and within the year their first child, Aglazôr, was born. Karazôr was not present for this momentous occasion, and in his hurt and anger Asdihil swore he would not speak to his father upon his return. But Karazôr did not return at all, for on that very day he had been caught in battle with the Corsairs of Umbar and slain, his body lost to the sea. When Karazôr’s crew returned to Dol Amroth with the dreadful news, Asdihil was stricken with grief and guilt, believing his fury had brought ill luck to his father’s journey, and no amount of comfort from Lômihirî and Zâiralêth could sway him. He became then a solemn, melancholy man, choosing his words carefully, though his love for his family did not lessen. Lômihirî and Asdihil had three more children, but like his father, Asdihil was fated for an untimely death. In his ninetieth year, he was called upon by Steward Beregond to defend the White Mountains, where orcs fleeing their war with the dwarves had recently established themselves. Asdihil led a valiant attack, flushing many orcs out of the dales, but was laid low by a poisoned arrow. His faithful son Aglazôr carried him back to Dol Amroth where he died surrounded by family, believing this was a just fate for a man who cursed his father to doom at sea. After Aglazôr took up his inheritance as the seventeenth Prince, Lômihirî removed herself and the youngest of her children back to her home of Lossarnach, where eventually the line of Dol Amroth would continue down to Morwen Steelsheen, wife of King Thengel of Rohan.
