Oc-Tober Day 4: Under Appreciated OC

Today was my birthday and this week was a bit packed because of that but I still managed to whip something up! This is Leshy aka “the hermit” they’re sort of the biggest mentor figure in Ks life so it’s a little wild I don’t do more art of them??? I definitely need to draw them more anyways.

Leshy is a sort of parental figure for K during the first leg of his journey, it’s kind of funny they both sort of haven’t spoken to a actual person in several years and so a lot of their interactions are very fun to write, Leshy as a whole is a character I need to flesh out more, being so instrumental in the first arc of the story and just also being fun to draw.

Also a bit of lore about paracosmic, Leshy is a species of alien called Arborians, which is a general term for the range of species that once lived in “the grove” star system. The subspecies Leshy is in particular is essentially a feline/fungus sort of thing? They’re like mostly humanoid but are also sort of a plant if you squint. Which is not to uncommon for Arborian species since they come from a planet which is basically a giant tree. (Hence the name)
