Rough paint, basic layout.
Aryian is only an occasional, distant-yet-amiable presence through Wintering - one that Scott doesn't know, but one that he at least feels confident in trusting. He is ultimately the Lock that reveals their true nature to the human. After that the Locks no longer care to disguise themselves as they had been doing, and Scott is thrown into a world of terror, awe, and confusion as he is confronted by space bending, form juxtapositions, and overlaps while layers of reality peel away - along with indecipherable rotational fractal-y nonsense that hints at the Locks' true essence.
