Absolutely still working on the design itself, but decided to play with colors with Meri's beta design.

Pretty sure none of this is going to fully stick around but it was fun trying stuff out! Now to sleep on this idea :3

Meri Wip

Very different from the original MayEve fusions which were the basis of Meri's design. But that's expected since I added 3 other characters into her premise as well as made her into an entity and not just a fusion so she has to be more of her own thing :3

👀 for Meri and Cori?

Well the basics for these two are that they are remakes of my silly little fusion drawings I did of Rin+Zuke and May+Eve from a bit ago.

The Rinzuke one is Cori (short for Coriander) and the Maeve one is Meri (short for Turmeric). I don't know why they are spices other than someone on DeviantArt suggested it and I loved it lol.

Even though they started off as fusions of only Rin+Zuke and May+Eve, they actually are a combination of all the positive and negative emotions surrounding the Megastars and B2J together that gave life to two entities. So they will actually have features from all these characters, but each has a bit more or less than the other.

So like, Meri is mainly May, Eve, Yinu, and Tatiana while Cori is Zuke, 1010, Nova, and Sayu. Each one does have the other NSRtists that make them up, but Meri is much more proficient with psychic, fire, and plant magic while Cori has control of water and space magic as well as a much more durable body.

The two are in a similar relationship as the curses in JJK. They work together for a greater goal (to be the true versions of the Megastars who are lying to the public about who they are. A very similar idea that Jogo had) and care a lot for each other.

Though when it comes to fighting, I like to think of Cori having the same energy as Choso did with Jogo against Satoru. Literally only doing the bare minimum for most of the fight until he has to get serious (then he is fighting more like Choso did against Yuji).

I see the two as being in a relationship with each other. They love each other in a toxic way of like owner (Meri) and pet (Cori). Even though they are on equal footing in their rank and power, Cori is just so passive compared to Meri that he just does what she says like a lapdog, but he is also greatly devoted to her and willing to let himself be fodder for her goals if that is what it takes (he is the one who fights against Tatiana and Jogo during the attack on Vinyl City to hold off those major power houses so in the hopes that Meri can get through the rest with her army).

I don't know how to really describe their relationship honestly, because I want it messed up in a way. Kinda the same way I am going with Kuroshi and Yamikumo. Freaks being freaks but caring very deeply for each other. Something like that.

Anyway! Meri is the leader of the duo! Very hot headed, quick to outburst, and has much more overall powers compared to Cori. She fights with weapons, I don't know if it's dual swords or something else but they are made of special magical plants that can be lit on fire as she attacks.

Cori is much more calm and collected. Very passive but still goes along with things. He's much more durable than Meri, like how Hanami is the most durable out of the curses (so that makes up for his lesser variety of powers). Honestly he isn't motivated to be the "true versions" of the Megastars as much as Meri is. He sees the Megastars as below them and not worth their time and effort. It is more like getting rid of a small infestation in his mind instead of overthrowing and establishing a new order like in Meri's mind.

Oh! Also a fun fact! Cori and Meri are one of the first major fusions I have planned! I think by this point it would already be established that same gems can fuse, but everyone thought that was just a gem entity thing and no one else ever actually tried fusing before.

However, during the Vinyl City fight, Jogo and Tatiana will do a sorta halve fuse with their souls to synchronize their attacks and be able to create a double domain against Cori, which very much actually manages to harm him more than he was ready to deal with.

On the other hand though, it also allows him to see soul synchronicity which allows him to run back to Meri real quick and the two end up being able to synchronize their souls enough to fuse together!

It is because of this fusion between two non-gem entities, as well as the almost fusion between an entity and human (Jogo and Tatiana) that pushes Nobara to become a soul researcher (I like to think she ends up joining Yuki in the research of souls).

I think that is all I can think about these two right now. I haven't really thought of them much as individuals, and that is because they were formed together and always stay together. Separating them from each other is very hard to do. They are pretty codependent but at the same time can absolutely function without each other, they just don't WANT to be apart.

It also doesn't help that they are an amalgamation of love and hate made from other people, and they haven't had time to grow into themselves as actual entities which is why they tie themselves so heavily to the Megastars to the point of forming a hatred of them because of the parasocial relationship fans and these two have with the Megastars.

So yea. These two are basically intertwined with each other to the point it is hard to separate the two enough to give actual personalities to them other than one is high energy and aggressive and one is low energy and passive.
