*creates one (1) mer-person OC and decides to give them a pirate partner, and that they bond over the constellations and learning each other's mythology and legends*

*spends half an hour mentally debating the details of a myth from the headcanons of mer-mythology (that I apparently have) to adapt the themes of both Orpheus and Icarus instead of designing either character.*

#I've also decided that mers use thermal vents in the deep sea like we use campfires in dark nights for storytelling #but um. wish my brain would let me decide what the pirate looks like #instead of telling me that my mer designs need adaptive pressure modified eyelids in order to exist at both surface and seafloor depth #vpoc yells #oc moirah
