I apologize if you aren't in the OC mood!! But, if your characters had a choice to pick what song would for them best, what would they choose and why?? ;0

*Rubs hands together* I am allllwwwayysss in an OC mood. Thank you sweet anon! What song would they choose to represent them best? I think maybe words got a little jumbled or maybe English isn’t your first language so I’m going to assume that’s what you meant. If not, please send another ask to clarify!

Hm… This’ll be a hard one tbh because a couple of them see themselves in different ways given the situation, and then there are the ways I see them. I’ll do my best to get into their heads!!

Mina would absolutely choose Oh No by Goodbye June. Without a doubt. Lyrics about fighting someone who’s trying to bring you down, perseverance, resilience, beating someone’s expectations of them. She’d connect with that song SO hard.

Reed, I’m pretty sure, would choose The Run And Go by Twenty One Pilots. Upbeat, happy tone but if you listen to the lyrics it’s… less so. Sort of like a confession, sort of like an apology, sort of like a warning, covered up by the upbeat music.

Tanner would choose Hot Blood by Kaleo. Tbh that’s been a song I connect him with, and I’ve thought he’d connect with, for MONTHS. It’s got an rough edge and a steady beat and bassy notes that I think he would feel it kind of just catches his “vibe”. I think he’d find the lyrics (but especially “they don’t know who we are”) VERY relatable. Even though they’re supposed to be lyrics about a hidden relationship (I’m fairly sure), he’d interpret them in other ways.

Shannon would choose Her Life by Two Feet. Slow, steady, flowing, chill, she’d think it’d pick up her sort of “energy”. On one hand, it could be a song about a girl who’s kind of been through some rough stuff and is trying to get herself back through less savory ways, which she can relate to, but on the other hand it can also be taken as a song about letting people live how they choose and do what they want and not judge them for it which is something she strongly believes in. EDIT: ALSO, she’d choose Easier by Mansionair. She’s got depression, and if this song isn’t about depression on some level then I don’t know what is.
