Regretevator OC :)
They're a creature that has the ability to watch and interact with the memories of other people, a power that has become a game to them despite how many revere them for it. Once a humble movie enthusiast, they've grown bored of the screen and now see the life experiences of others as a new show to enjoy.
They're named after "paradise"/"the paradis", the seating location in a theater that is both the highest in elevation, and typically the lowest in price.
They frequently board the Regretevator in hopes of catching a glimpse of the outlandish and dramatic memories of the other passengers. Most of the other NPCs would probably feel mildly uncomfortable around them. They mean no harm and can actually be very helpful, but their lack of respect for boundaries and tendency to even "critique" the "backstories" of others tends to scare people off.
As an NPC, we think that their mechanic would be to occasionally play a clip of the last floor. Whether this would be an actual recording of gameplay, or a pre-made video related to the lore of whatever given floor it is, we're not sure yet.
