Happy Tender Tuesday! Which one of your characters would go back into the restaurant to correct a wrong order? Is this assertiveness visible in other aspects of their relationship as well?

If Willie was served the wrong meal in a restaurant, he would have to be physically restrained from going into the kitchen and fist fighting the cook (especially if the wrong meal was served to Autumn as well!)

Liliane would insist that the meal be taken back to the kitchen and that the correct dish be brought out to her, and that she won’t be paying for either because of the mistake. She can be very persuasive (should I say coercive? threatening? intimidating? pick one and run with it!). She’s been through relationships before where the man is assertive to the point of control, so she makes her opinions known but doesn’t push too hard.

Happy Tender Tuesday! Which one of your OCs drives the car most often? Is this adherence/rejection of traditional gender/relationship roles present in other aspects of their relationship?

Starting at the conclusion of Amoeba’s 1971-72 Cabinet of Fools tour (two major legs: North America and Europe), Willie treats himself with the purchase of a brand new sports car. He realizes how much he loves driving, and the contrast between a never-ending tour and a long, stretched out road, and this love of cars continues well into his thirties!

To the second portion of your question, I would say no. He doesn’t dislike women who drive, or think any less of them for enjoying a car, but he likes a solitary drive in the countryside more than one with company.

For tender Tuesday: what’s something your OC does that would annoy most people, but is loved by their significant other

Hello, and thanks for this ask!! (sent a week ago)

Even though they’re not technically together, I’ll answer this for Willie and Autumn since this quirk came to mind first! Willie is known to have a resting bitch face, and the band will often say he’s scowling for no reason (he’s not angry, just introverted and doesn’t like nonsense, which a scowl keeps at bay!). When he and Autumn meet during the outdoor music festival in California (Sept. 1971), she proudly tells the band to leave him alone: “his pout is so cute!” (and then she kisses him). So, despite people thinking he’s a rude/unapproachable man, Autumn thinks his expression is adorable :)

It's Tender Tuesday! How your characters know when they are with The One? (I mean, their soulmates)

oohoooo what a question!!! great choice, love! I am going to use soulmate and true love interchangeably.

It’s a bit different for everyone, really, but here’s a couple of them:

Cameron: Emily is literally the woman of his dreams, and once he realizes that he loves her, and she loves him, he has no doubt she is his soulmate.

Emily: She has never really thought about soulmates and if they’re real or not. But she does know that Cameron loves her wholly, and accepts her completely. If that isn’t true love, what is? 

Liliane: She will know that the man she is with is her true love when she tells him a secret. She’s only ever told Emily that information, and when she tells him and he assures her it makes no difference to him at all, she says to herself “well, he loves me, and he’s flown across the country for me, and now this doesn’t change his mind. He’s for me.”

and, miss blackless, I will add this one just for you:

Willie will realize he is with a woman who truly loves him, and who will stand with him always, when she listens. Even before he’s figured out his life, and before he’s tried to change for the better, and before he saw his mistakes, she listened, and she heard him, and she loved him anyway.

ooh, thanks for this one! I’ll answer it for the guitarist and bassist! :)

When Willie was in primary school, he had a collection of marbles. He had over two hundred marbles in different sizes and colours, and he still has quite a few of them!

Lee used to be an apprentice woodworker, so he knows how to build cabinets and tables and whatnot. He thinks it’s useless and nothing special, but Liliane thinks it’s neat!
