💭 THOUGHT BALLOON — what is your oc's MBTI, enneagram, and/or other personality aspects (if known/interested in)?

his mbti is infp (which fits him sm bc of how like. caring. and idealistic he can be) and his enneagram is 6w5 (the guardian) which, again, SO fitting for a man like him. so loyal but also very pensive kinda guy. analytical one might say.

🌴 PALM TREE — does your oc have a green thumb? do they enjoy gardening?

i never really thought abt it before but. god he DOES have a green thumb actually!! his apartment is full of plants because he still feels weird being in night city and wants to remember being outside (even tho "outside" is a desert). i think he also grows plants to manifest the future he wants, aka being at peace in a place that's connected to nature and had NOTHING to do with night city. he also gardens i've decided just now bc he can't stand all the factory foods (which is gonna be a useful skill when he DOES get his little haven away from everything!!)

💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

– finley is trans!! it's a ripperdoc in the bakkers that did his top surgery a few years ago and there were some complications (normal thing to happen in the badlands methink) so his scars are now a little jagged and strange, but he loves them nonetheless – was taken by raffen shivs as a kid to be sold or eviscerated. he ended up killing and maiming his way out of the camp with a scalpel and running away before being found by some bakkers scouts. – sometimes, when he can't sleep in his apartment, he goes down to the garage and sleeps in his car. it's something that's more familiar to him and it soothes him despite the grief that comes with it.

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends?

he definitely prefers a few close friends. doing what he does—infiltrating the project at eden's gate years ago and now juggling his allegiances as best as he can—, it's much safer to only rely on a few friends he can really depend on rather than risk being ratted out by hanging out with too many people. he's also very slow to trust, so he's never even had a wide circle of friends, even as a child.

🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?

– maxwell is an excellent hunter. he learned as a child with his uncle and his big brother achilles. he never liked it. – tends to be quieter in most situations, only there as support for whoever he's with (be it jacob or eli). he doesn't take sides during fights, which is why he's so conflicted about the reaping and its factions. – doesn't listen to much music. idk if this counts as a trait but there it is!! my poor underdeveloped boy

🍝 SPAGHETTI — what is/are your oc's favorite food(s)?

he likes homemade foods, no matter what that food might be, but the food that brings him the most comfort is saltines and peanut butter. it's just a little snack he used to get as a kid when they were a little tight on money and it brings back a lot of memories, good and bad.

💚 GREEN HEART — does your oc prefer being inside or outside?

outside!! carter grew up on a spaceship, so being outside on earth is one of his favourite thing. i mean, there are trees, flowers, rivers, lakes, animals, bugs!! so many things to see, so many beautiful colours, so many different smells!!

🍦 SOFT ICE CREAM — what is/are your oc's favorite ice cream flavor(s)?

strawberry,,,, he's a very strawberry and banana kinda little guy and strawberry ice cream is just so sweet AND pretty. all pink. important also to note he hates pistachio ice cream (projecting that on him rn)

🎶 MUSICAL NOTES — what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?

carter listens to all kinds of music!! growing up with peter quill as a father, he ofc listened to a lot of music from the 70's and 80's and they're what he listens to the most nowadays, but he also enjoys pop music a lot and the shrek 2 soundtrack!! he's also a BIG fan of dolly parton

SENSELESS [x] oc: carter quill fandom: mcu word count: 541

carter doesn’t like being alone.

it’s happened a lot in his life, moments where he was left with only himself; following his parents’ death, then when he changed hands between ravager ships, and later when the snap wiped out half the galaxy. he doesn’t think about it much now that he’s surrounded himself with so many new friends, but the loneliness sometimes creeps back in, like a parasite that never truly goes away.

joaquin is gone on a morning run when carter wakes up. he knows that because the clock reads 8:36am and joaquin always goes on runs early in the morning, then stops at a coffee shop nearby to bring breakfast back for them to share. he knows that.

except knowing doesn’t make it any better, not when carter sits alone in their bed, not when he dreamt of the senseless violence he took part of, not when he could really use a hug right now and the only person who could do this is running who knows where in new york city.

he brings his knees up and wraps his arms around his legs, tucks his chin close to his chest and squeezes his eyes shut. he replays soothing words like his mind is a record player, recalls bruce’s hand on his back and the gentle keep breathing, you’re okay, jasper’s chest under his cheek and whispered you’re doing great, buddy, joaquin’s fingers in his hair and hushered–

“oh, baby, what’s wrong?”

carter looks up so fast he thinks his head might fly off his body. joaquin quickly puts down the paper bag he’s holding, kicks off his shoes and climbs back in bed. he hovers close for a moment, waiting for the tell that it’s okay to touch, that carter won’t become intangible under his hands, before he wraps his arms around him and pulls him to his chest in a tight embrace.

“you’re okay, mi pollito,” he whispers against carter’s hair, and the latter whimpers miserably under his breath, clinging desperately to his lover’s sweaty shirt. “i’m here. i’m right here.”

“you were gone,” carter hiccups between quiet sobs. he wants so badly to be strong, but it’s so hard when he’s done so many horrible things. “i didn’t want to be alone.”

“i’m so sorry, baby.” another kiss to the crown of his head, and carter leans into it with enough force for his skull to bump against joaquin’s teeth. “i’m here now. i brought breakfast. i’ll be with you all day.”

joaquin’s presence, his voice, his words and the promise of the time they’ll spend together today are enough to encourage carter to breathe normally again. he inhales sharply, holds his breath, counts to four, and exhales slowly. just like bruce taught him. joaquin is smiling down at him when carter looks up, yellow eyes all puffy.

“you got waffles?”

“you know i did,” joaquin chuckles tenderly, combing his fingers through carter’s hair comfortingly as he speaks. “and i brought back some hot chocolate, too.”

carter manages to smile at that. he can still feel the edge of the nightmares on his mind, but this is something he’d much rather focus on. joaquin, waffles, hot chocolates and cuddles. what more could he possibly want?

carter quill, a marvel oc originally made for a homebrew dnd game! in that verse, he's the son of peter quill and kitty pryde and a member of the guardians of the galaxy, until a group of superheroes called the peacekeepers is created to keep the peace between the avengers and the x-men. he loves being part of a group that can help others, but quickly realises that not everyone is as kind as he is :c

casey stephens, an oc from the shadowhunters tv show (because i have yet to read the books). he's a mundane blessed (or cursed) with the ability to see through illusions, meaning he spent his entire life surrounded by vampires and shadowhunters and whatnot with no one to believe him when he told them about it. poor guy does somehow manage to score himself a nice vampire boyfriend tho!!

The kiss is slow, gentle and tastes like the strawberries Carter’s been nibbling on all evening. It’s nothing like what he expected, not when they both know the atrocities Zorn’s hands have committed, but they’re cautious when they move, fingers digging ever so slightly in his flesh, one hand angling Carter’s head to the side so he can better lick into his mouth and it makes Carter’s head spin a little, makes him cling onto Zorn’s biceps a little tighter and open his mouth a little wider. The sound of the music blasting on the speakers is muffled in Carter’s ears, as is everything else; his entire world is reduced to this, to the warmth emanating from Zorn’s body, to where his fingers burn his skin, to his tongue tracing his bottom lip. It’s intoxicating, more so than the alcohol scattered everywhere on the coffee table, and he almost keens when the other pulls away, chasing after his lips only to be stopped by a hand squeezing his scalp and oh, that puts him in his place. “Gettin’ excited, are we?” Zorn hums, breath hot against his face, and it only makes Carter’s cheeks redder when he realizes that yes, he is getting excited, warmth blooming in his stomach and hips rolling absentmindedly against nothing. When he lifts his hands to hide his face in them, they’re grabbed by two much larger hands that gently pry them away. “Hey, it’s okay. Been imagining this for a long time.” And it’s in a rare burst of confidence that Carter immediately blurts in reply: “What else did you imagine?” Before he can think of being embarrassed, Zorn snorts. “Tell you what,” he begins, letting go of one of Carter’s hands to pull at his bottom lip with his thumb, and Carter barely resists the urge to catch it in his mouth and suck on it. “Let’s go somewhere quieter and I’ll let you in on a few ideas.”  As soon as the words are out of Zorn’s mouth, Carter springs from the couch and pulls the other by the hand—not that he actually has the strength to manhandle him, but Zorn goes along willingly, chuckling at his enthusiasm as Carter leads them through corridors that suddenly seem too long and towards his bedroom.
